An infusion device (3) comprises a housing element (30) having a receptacle (301) for receiving a pump module (1), and a pump actuation mechanism (2) having a wobbling device (20) arranged on the housing element (30) and a drive shaft (21) being rotatable about a rotational axis (A). The wobbling device (20) is actuatable, by rotating the drive shaft (21) about the rotational axis (A), to perform a tumbling motion with respect to the receptacle (300) for acting onto the pump module (1) received in the receptacle (300) in order to pump a fluid through the pump module (1). Herein, the wobbling device (20) is displaceable along at least one direction (X, Y) transverse to the rotational axis (A) with respect to the receptacle (300). In this way an infusion device is provided which in an easy and cost-efficient manner allows for improving the positional accuracy of the pump module with respect to the wobbling device of the pump actuation mechanism upon arranging the pump module on the receptacle of the housing element.

Method for calibrating an infusion device

An infusion device includes a pump device having a housing and a flexible wall section together forming a channel extending along a channel length between first and second ends. An actuation device locally depresses the flexible wall section in a vertical direction, and is displaceable along the vertical direction. To pump a fluid through the channel, the actuation device is actuated to depress the flexible wall section at a depression location, the depression location during one pump cycle moving along the channel length. To calibrate the infusion device, the position of the actuation device along the vertical direction during one pump cycle is measured to obtain a measured profile, a difference between the measured profile and a prestored nominal profile is formed to obtain a difference profile, and from the difference profile a characteristic value for correcting and/or checking the pump operation of the infusion device is calculated.

Rotary pump

A rotary pump in a housing which defines an annular chamber with an inlet and outlet port which are located on either side of a partition which extends across the chamber. A flexible annular diaphragm forms one side of the chamber and faces a wall on the housing which forms the second side of the chamber. The diaphragm is sealed at its innermost and outermost edges to the housing and has legs extending away azimuthally around and integral with the diaphragm. A swashplate is connected to the legs of the diaphragm such that in use, movement of the swashplate causes the diaphragm to press precessively against the wall of the housing to force fluid drawn in at the inlet on one side of the partition around the chamber and to expel the fluid at the outlet at the other side of the partition.
