The first and second chambers are within the housing. The first chamber includes a first valve seat and is fluidly connected to the inlet. The second chamber includes a second valve seat and is fluidly connected to the outlet. The first valve element is disposed in the first chamber and includes a spring-loaded check valve element. The second valve element is disposed in the second chamber and includes a buoyant material.
Infusion pump
An infusion pump is disclosed. The infusion pump comprises a chamber having a distal end and a proximal end, and a longitudinal axis between the proximal end and the distal end. A piston is arranged for reciprocating movement within the chamber and along the longitudinal axis. At least one outlet is arranged from the chamber and may comprise an outlet valve. At least one inlet is provided into the chamber. The outlet and the inlet are axially spaced apart along the longitudinal axis of the chamber. A method for operating the pump is also provided.
ELECTRICALLY ACTUATED PUMP
Automatic electric actuation of the pumping mechanism of a liquid dispenser apparatus is provided by configuring a hollow tube to cooperate with an electromagnetically driven actuator and further configuring the hollow tube to inter-fit with a stem of a liquid dispensing pump. Actuation of the actuator may, for example, drive the pump stem downwardly to cause a pumping action. Suitable actuators include, for example, solenoids, voice coil actuators and stepping motors.
Pneumatic pump control system
A pneumatic pump control system includes a pump chamber having a top end and a bottom end, an air valve coupled to the top end of the pump chamber and configured to be coupled to a pressurized air source, and a pump chamber valve coupled to the bottom end of the pump chamber. In addition, the pneumatic pump control system includes a discharge chamber having a top end and a bottom end, a discharge fitting coupled to the top end of the discharge chamber, a discharge check valve coupled to the bottom end of the discharge chamber in fluid communication with the pump chamber valve, and an inlet check valve in fluid communication with the pump chamber.
Ball non-return valve and diaphragm pump
A ball non-return valve that can be integrated with a diaphragm pump or the like, does not transmit strain generated by stress during valve assembly to a ball seal portion, and can stably maintain sealing performance, and a diaphragm pump are disclosed. The non-return valve includes a valve seat having a through-hole, and a ball that opens and closes a flow of a fluid through the through-hole. The valve seat made of a corrosion resistant material is composed of a first valve seat that can support the ball and seal the through-hole, and a second valve seat that has a substantially cylindrical shape surrounding the first valve seat and in which the space between a valve case and the second valve seat is sealed by an O-ring. Clearances d3 and d4 are formed between the first valve seat and the second valve seat, and a horizontal surface of a notched portion of the second valve seat is mounted on an upper surface of a flange portion of the first valve seat.
Methods and kits for assembling a flow cage assembly for downhole reciprocating pump
Methods and kits for assembling a flow cage assembly are provided. The flow cage assembly may be used in a traveling valve or a standing valve of a downhole pump. In some embodiments, the kit comprises a tubular body having an axial bore, a tubular insert, and a retaining element. The kit may be assembled such that the retaining element forms an interference fit with the tubular body and thereby retains the tubular insert within the axial bore. In some embodiments, the interference fit between the retaining element and the tubular body may reduce or eliminate a possible failure point within the flow cage assembly.
VACUUM PUMP
A vacuum pump includes a motor, a pump coupled to the motor to receive torque therefrom, and a trestle including an inlet port, an outlet port, and a fluid pathway therebetween, the outlet port being fluidly connected to the pump. The vacuum pump also includes a first valve positioned within the fluid pathway and adjustable between an open state, in which an airflow induced by the pump is drawn through the inlet port, and a closed state, in which a reverse airflow through the inlet port is prevented, and a second valve positioned within the fluid pathway in series with the first valve and adjustable between an open state, in which the airflow induced by the pump is drawn through the inlet port, and a closed state, in which the reverse airflow through the inlet port is prevented when the motor is deactivated.
Suction valve apparatus and method of using same
The present invention pertains to a suction valve apparatus for use in being directly connected to a surgical suction tubing and a surgical suction tip, and thus, allowing a user to stop, or shut off, a flow of suction with the use of a single hand. The present invention pertains to a thumb-activated shut-off valve apparatus for use in easily and efficiently stopping and starting a flow of suction during surgical operations. The suction valve apparatus of the present invention generally comprises a ball valve member, an O-ring, a housing member, and a handle switch member, wherein said ball valve member, said housing member, said O-ring, and said handle switch member cooperate to be able to stop or start a flow of suction from a surgical suction tube and a surgical suction tip.
Anti-gas locking pumps and related methods in oil and gas applications
A downhole pump includes a housing, a plunger that is disposed within the housing, and a rod that is secured to the plunger. The housing includes a magnet that is disposed at an uphole end of the housing. The plunger includes a traveling valve that is disposed at a downhole end of the plunger. The rod includes a conducting shaft that is attached to an uphole end of the plunger. The conducting shaft is configured to extend a magnetic field generated by the magnet when the conducting shaft is positioned adjacent the magnet to magnetically force the traveling valve into an open state.
Metering pump having an integrated overflow valve, and valve insert for a metering pump
An overflow valve is built into a metering head for a metering pump used with aggressive media and under high pressure. The overflow valve follows the suction valve or expands it, and directly lowers a critical pressure that occurs in the metering head, using an overflow line. In this way, the safety of the arrangement is improved, and at the same time, less construction space is used up by the additional valve.
