A method of producing fluid from a wellbore includes operating a pump located proximate to a zone of fluid influx in the wellbore to draw a reservoir fluid from a reservoir into the wellbore at the zone of fluid influx. The pump is coupled to a tubing string extending above the pump, and a packer is coupled to the tubing string proximate to an upper end of the zone of fluid influx and seals an annular space around the tubing string. The method includes operating the pump to produce the reservoir fluid from the wellbore through the tubing string. A pump includes a drive chamber with a drive piston, a production chamber with a production piston coupled to the drive piston, and axially separated traveling valves.

A pump system includes a pump barrel disposed within a housing. A standing valve is disposed at a first end of a pump chamber defined within the pump barrel. A traveling valve is disposed at a second end of the pump chamber. The traveling valve is movable relative to along an axial axis and relative to the housing. A motor stator is disposed inside the housing. produces a rotating electromagnetic field upon receiving electrical power. A motor rotor is rotatably supported within the motor stator and rotates about the axial axis in response to the rotating electromagnetic field. A traveling plug is coupled to the valve body of the traveling body and arranged to move linearly along the axial axis in response to rotation of the motor rotor. The pump system can be disposed in a wellbore to lift fluids up a tubing in the wellbore.

Anti-gas locking pumps and related methods in oil and gas applications

A downhole pump includes a housing, a plunger that is disposed within the housing, and a rod that is secured to the plunger. The housing includes a magnet that is disposed at an uphole end of the housing. The plunger includes a traveling valve that is disposed at a downhole end of the plunger. The rod includes a conducting shaft that is attached to an uphole end of the plunger. The conducting shaft is configured to extend a magnetic field generated by the magnet when the conducting shaft is positioned adjacent the magnet to magnetically force the traveling valve into an open state.

According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, it provides a method of manufacturing a piston of a pump for brake system, the piston fabricated using a piercing process by press forming to have an inlet path communicating with a suction port through which oil is introduced.

Piston Pump

A reciprocating pump, in particular a hydraulic pump of a slip-controlled vehicle braking system, includes a step piston, a differential pressure valve, and a pump outlet. The step piston includes a piston step that delimits a stepped space which is in communication with the pump outlet via the differential pressure valve. The piston step is configured such that the step space undergoes suction and displacement in a direction opposite to a displacement space, and in smaller quantities than suction and displacement in the displacement space, such that brake fluid volume flow in the pump outlet is evened out, and such that pressure pulsations are inhibited.

CONVEYING DEVICE FOR CONVEYING A FLOWABLE MEDIUM

The invention relates to a delivery device (1) for delivering a fluid medium, having a delivery drive (2), a pump device (3) and a scoop device (4). The delivery drive (2) is arranged at a first end (6) of a pipe (5), wherein the pump device (3) and the scoop device (4) are arranged inside the pipe (5). The scoop device (4) includes a foot valve (8), which is arranged at a second end (7) of the pipe (5) and which foot valve (8) serves to control an inlet (9) for an inflow of medium into a piston chamber (10). A piston (11), which sub-divides the piston chamber (10) into an inflow area (12) and a discharge area (13), is arranged in the piston chamber (10), wherein the inflow area (12) and the discharge area (13) are or can be connected via the piston (11), wherein the piston (11), via a piston rod (14), is movable between a retracted position and an extended position inside the piston chamber (10) by the delivery drive (2) (FIG. 1).

Plunger to Form a Liquid Ring to Seal Against Gas Bypass

A plunger for moving up and down in a tubing string in a plunger lift system includes an elongated body having an upper end, a lower end and a longitudinal axis, an upper passage extending axially in the body from a top opening located toward the upper end, and a liquid cross-hole extending from the upper passage to an outer circumferential surface of the body. The upper passage is closed to the exterior of the lower end at least when the plunger is located at or proximate to the bottom end of the tubing string. In some embodiments the upper passage extends from the top opening to a terminal end or position located inside the body and not in communication with the exterior of the lower end. The upper passage may extend from the top opening to a bottom opening toward the lower end and include a valve element to selective close the bottom opening.

Downhole pump and method for producing well fluids

A method of producing fluid from a wellbore includes operating a pump located proximate to a zone of fluid influx in the wellbore to draw a fluid from a reservoir into the wellbore at the zone of fluid influx. A first section of a tubing string is coupled to, and extends above, the pump, and a second section of the tubing string is coupled to, and extends below, the pump. A packer seals a first annular space around the first section of the tubing string. The method further includes operating the pump to move the fluid from the second section of the tubing string and into the first section of the tubing string.
