Unibody bypass plunger and valve cage with sealable ports

A bypass plunger includes a unibody, or one-piece hollow body and valve cage, retains a dart valve within the valve cage portion using a threaded retaining nut secured by crimple detents, and includes sealable flow parts. A series of helical grooves surround the central portion of the outer surface of the hollow body of the plunger to control spin during descent. A canted-coil-spring disposed within the retaining nut functions as a clutch. The valve cage includes ports that may be configured to control flow through the plunger during descent. Other embodiments include clutch assemblies using canted-coil springs with split bobbins, and surfaced valve stems surfaced.

Pneumatic surge suppressor

A surge suppressor includes a boost mechanism configured to balance pressures between a working fluid and a process fluid. The boost mechanism includes a boost member that is acted on by a charge pressure of the working fluid. A shaft extends from the boost member to a pressure control member bounding the process fluid and acting on the process fluid. The boost member can have a larger effective area than the pressure control member to provide a pressure multiplication between the charge pressure and the process fluid pressure. In addition, pressure control valves are mounted to an air housing and actuated open by the boost mechanism. Actuating one of the pressure control valves open increases the charge pressure. Actuating the other pressure control valve open decreases the charge pressure.

PRESSURE REGULATOR FOR ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM

A lubrication system for an internal combustion engine includes a fluid flow control device at the outlet side of the pump that regulates pressure conditions at the outlet side of the pump upstream of the lubrication circuit in the engine. The fluid flow control device includes a chamber that is opened in response a fluid pressure exceeding a threshold to allow the fluid to pass from the outlet side of the pump back to the inlet side of the pump. The fluid flow control device also includes at least one elongated aperture in communication with the chamber for receiving fluid fed from the chamber and allowing the fluid in the chamber to flow to the inlet side of the pump.

INLINE LANDFLL PUMP CYCLE COUNTER

A landfill pump cycle counter includes a housing defining an internal passage, a poppet disposed within the internal passage, a magnet disposed within an internal cavity of the poppet, a counter, a seat formed on an inner surface of the housing, and a mating surface formed on the poppet. The landfill pump cycle counter is configured to receive liquid output from a landfill pump. The housing extends along an axis and also defines an inlet and an outlet. The internal passage fluidly connects the inlet to the outlet. The poppet is configured to be moved axially between an open state and a closed state. The counter includes a magnetic sensor configured to detect a poppet cycle. The poppet cycle includes the poppet moving from one of the open state and the closed state to the other of the open state and the closed state.

Pneumatic micropump

A pneumatic micropump is provided. The pneumatic micropump includes a fluidic channel layer, an upper substrate, a lower substrate, an upper membrane and a lower membrane. The fluidic channel includes a fluid inlet a reservoir, and a fluid outlet, wherein the fluid passes through the fluid inlet, the reservoir and the fluid outlet, successively. The upper substrate includes an upper pneumatic chamber facing the reservoir. The lower substrate includes a lower pneumatic chamber facing the reservoir. The upper membrane is disposed between the upper pneumatic chamber and the reservoir, and the lower membrane is disposed between the lower pneumatic chamber and the reservoir.

A mechanically actuated traveling valve for use in fluid pumping equipment is provided. More particularly, a mechanically actuated traveling plug valve having a valve seat and a valve plug is provided for use in any positive displacement pump with a reciprocating element (either the plunger or the cylinder) capable of pumping fluids of any viscosity, with any gas to liquid ratio, operating at any inclination angle.

FLUID PUMP
20170268491 · 2017-09-21 ·

A fluid pump has a housing, a chamber having an inlet and an outlet, an inlet valve, an outlet valve, and a plunger. The plunger has a plunger tube extending into the chamber and supported for movement, on a suction stroke, to introduce a fluid into the chamber via the inlet, and, on a discharge stroke, to displace the fluid from the chamber via the outlet. An electromagnetic driving unit moves the plunger in two opposite directions. A magnetic core is located adjacent the plunger for establishing a magnetic path across the electromagnetic driving unit and the plunger. The core is located in the path of movement of the plunger on the suction stroke, and is protected or covered by a material against contact with the fluid in the housing.

Poppet valve and method of its manufacture

A method for manufacturing a poppet valve or mushroom valve includes providing a mixture of metal powder and a binder, filling and pressing said mixture in a mold, to obtain a green product, removing the binder from the green product, and thermally sintering the green product to a poppet valve blank, by hot isostatic pressing. A poppet valve is also provided that is manufactured with this method.

Method for Removal of Valve Seats within Fluid End Assembly
