Pump actuator with stamp-aligned anti-rotation feature

A tappet, which may be a fuel pump actuator, includes a body that is a contiguous piece of case-hardened ferrous metal. The body has a cylinder-conforming bore-running surface and an anti-rotation guide feature that has been made by stamping to project outwardly from the bore-running surface. A cam follower is mounted to the body. The body has been case hardened by ferritic nitrocarburizing, but has not been distorted by heat treatment and has a malleable interior. A transverse web for the tappet may be fully hardened. Axle holes for the cam follower may be formed by stamping. The tappet is durable and provides superior alignment of the roller to a cam, which reduces friction and noise.

DRIVING METHOD FOR METERING PUMP, DRIVING APPARATUS FOR METERING PUMP, VAPORIZER, AND ANESTHESIA APPARATUS

[Problems] To provide a driving method for a metering pump, a driving apparatus for a metering pump, a vaporizer and an anesthesia apparatus which are capable of suppressing a pulsation in the metering pump, and lowering the costs and reducing the sizes of the vaporizer and the anesthesia apparatus.

[Means for solving the Problems] A metering pump 16 is joined to the stepping motor 15, includes an eccentric mechanism converting a revolving motion of the stepping motor 15 into a reciprocating motion of a plunger 16A, and makes a constant liquid delivery by sucking and discharging an anesthetic agent through variations in the cubic volume of a cylinder 16D caused by the reciprocating motion of the plunger 16A. The control section 12: calculates a suction and discharge cycle T of the metering pump 16 on the basis of a set anesthetic-gas concentration and a fresh-gas flow rate; sets a discharge period T2 of the cycle T to be longer than a suction period T1 of the cycle T; and controls the revolution speed of the stepping motor 15 so that the travelling speed of the plunger 16A is kept constant during the discharge period T2.

A peristaltic pump may include a rotor rotatably mounted on a base and an occlusion bed mounted on the base and moveable toward and away from the rotor. The peristaltic pump may also include a lid hingedly mounted to the base along a first hinge axis including a mounting bracket extending perpendicularly relative to the first hinge axis. A linkage assembly connecting the occlusion bed and the lid may include a pair of curved arms hingedly mounted to the mounting bracket along a second hinge axis parallel to the first hinge axis and a cam connecting the pair of curved arms and having a cam surface facing the mounting bracket, the cam being hingedly mounted to the occlusion bed at an end opposite the second hinge axis. The mounting bracket abuts the cam surface and form a cooperative connection between the lid and the occlusion bed via the linkage assembly.

LOAD-BALANCED MUD PUMP ASSEMBLY

A load-balanced, high-capacity mud pump is provided. In some embodiments, load balancing is achieved by spacing hubs along the crankshaft of the mud pump with the bull gears disposed opposite one another, on outer ends of the crankshaft adjacent to the housing. In such an embodiment, the hubs are disposed along the crankshaft between the bull gears. A pinion shaft (or separate pair of shafts) can be provided, mechanically supported in the mud pump by roller bearings or lubricated pads. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

PUMP FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID

A pump comprises: a plurality of pistons each of which is slidable inside a cylinder so as to vary volume of a corresponding chamber, a plurality of suction valves, each of which is associated with a chamber and is operable to allow a liquid to enter the chamber, the suction valves being arranged in a first sequence, a plurality of delivery valves, each of which is associated with a chamber and is operable to allow said liquid to exit from the chamber, the delivery valves being arranged in a second sequence, an adjusting valve for adjusting pressure of the liquid exiting from the pump.

The adjusting valve is interposed between two consecutive valves of a sequence chosen from said first sequence and said second sequence.

The pump further comprises: an outlet conduit arranged downstream of the delivery valves, a shutter device interposed between an initial portion of the outlet conduit and a final portion of the outlet conduit, so as to put the initial portion in fluid communication with the final portion, or alternatively separate the initial portion from the final portion, a connecting hole for connecting a portion of the outlet conduit arranged downstream of the shutter device with the adjusting valve.

COMPACT OPPOSED PUMP

The present disclosure provides a high-pressure fuel pump having barrel sets comprising offset, opposing barrel units within the same plane and having plungers disposed therein. The high-pressure fuel pump further includes a camshaft having at least one offset lobe and a cam ring encircling the lobe and in contact with the plungers, which translate the rotational movement of the camshaft to longitudinal movement of the plungers, controlling inflow, compression, and outflow of fuel within the pump.

Various surface cam planetary mechanisms are described that convert rotational motion to linear reciprocating motion. Also described are assemblies using such mechanisms such as pump drives. A surface cam component used in the mechanisms includes a cam race that exhibits an undulating surface.

SUPPLY PUMP
20230018875 · 2023-01-19 ·

A cam ring of a supply pump revolves around a camshaft without rotating. A tappet reciprocates in a direction perpendicular to the camshaft in response to revolution of the cam ring such that the tappet slides along a cam ring sliding surface. A plunger reciprocates together with the tappet to pressurize and deliver fuel. The cam ring sliding surface is shaped in a convex form that has a curved contour line which is non-circular. A height of an inside of the cam ring sliding surface is higher than a height of a periphery of the cam ring sliding surface. Specifically, an ellipsoidal surface portion is formed at the cam ring sliding surface, and an axial direction of a major axis of the ellipsoidal surface portion is set to coincide with a direction perpendicular to a sliding direction of the cam ring sliding surface.
