Vane rotary compressor having a bearing with back pressure pockets

A vane rotary compressor has a cylinder. A main bearing and a sub bearing are coupled to the cylinder forming a compression space. The main and sub bearing each have a back pressure pocket on a surface facing the cylinder. The main bearing and the sub bearing radially support a rotation shaft. A roller coupled to the shaft is disposed within the compression space. The roller has circumferentially spaced vane slots, each vane slot extending from an open end on an outer circumferential surface of the roller to a back pressure chamber disposed within the roller at an opposite end of each vane slot. A plurality of vanes slide within the vane slots and divide the compression space into compression chambers. At least one of the back pressure chambers in the vane slots fluidly communicates with at least one of the back pressure pockets in the main and sub bearings.

A compressor includes a cylinder including a cylinder chamber, a piston movably arranged relative to the cylinder in the cylinder chamber, and a sliding member slideable against the cylinder and the piston in the cylinder chamber. The cylinder and the piston are constructed from an Al—Si alloy having a Si content exceeding 12.6 wt %, which is a eutectic point. The sliding member is constructed from steel and has a surface layer including a sliding surface slideable against the cylinder and the piston. The surface layer is treated so as to have greater hardness than hardness of proeutectic Si contained in the Al—Si alloy, and the surface layer has hardness of at least Hv 1000 in the sliding surface.

The balance weight portion includes a counter weight part, a first main weight component, and a second main weight component. The counter weight part has a first outer circumferential surface that is a partial cylindrical surface about the axis of rotation of the slider. The first main weight component has a second outer circumferential surface that is a partial cylindrical surface about the axis of the cylindrical portion. The second main weight component has a third outer circumferential surface that is located radially outward of the second outer circumferential surface and that is a partial cylindrical surface about the axis of rotation of the slider and an inner circumferential surface that is a partial cylindrical surface about the axis of the cylindrical portion.

A rate of change in the first gap in one area is greater than a rate of change in the first gap in another area. A rate of change in the second gap in one area is greater than a rate of change in the second gap in another area.
