GEAR AND BEARING INDENTS TO INDUCE FLUID FILM
A fuel pump assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a shaft for transmitting motion, a gear connected to and coaxial with the shaft with the gear having a first wear surface, a first bearing coaxial with the shaft with the first bearing being configured to support the gear and having a second wear surface positioned to interact with the first wear surface, and a plurality of indents. The indents are distributed in the first wear surface or the second wear surface and at least two of the plurality of indents are partially aligned in a radial direction.
LINERS FOR ROTORS AND STATORS
A rotor and/or stator dampening system includes a stator and/or rotor with a liner selected of one or more materials to achieve a desired dampening effect. In one implementation, a progressive cavity motor or pump includes a stator with an internal axial bore therethrough. The stator has a liner along an axial length thereof with an inwardly facing surface defining the internal axial bore therethrough. The liner has a plurality of axial sections with at least two of the plurality of axial sections being constructed of different materials. A compression resistant mechanism, such as a spring or spring-like device, is disposed within at least one of the axial sections of the liner. The progressive cavity motor or pump also includes a rotor that is disposed and is rotatable within the internal axial bore of the stator to form a moving chamber between the rotor and the stator.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR
A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include an anti-rotation mechanism provided with an anti-rotation pin and an anti-rotation ring between an orbiting scroll and a scroll support member facing the orbiting scroll, and an axial thickness of the ring body portion constituting the anti-rotation ring may be larger than an axial depth of a ring insertion groove in which the anti-rotation ring is inserted. This can allow the orbiting scroll and a member facing the same to be spaced physically apart without a separate member, to secure a gap for oil to flow, such that the oil can be smoothly supplied between the orbiting scroll and the member, thereby suppressing seizure or/and friction loss between the orbiting scroll and the member.
Rotary engine with housing having silicon carbide plate
A rotary internal combustion engine has: a rotor; a housing circumscribing a rotor cavity, the rotor received within the rotor cavity, the housing having a peripheral wall and a side housing assembly secured to the peripheral wall, the side housing assembly having plates located at spaced apart ends of the peripheral wall, the plates defining seal running surfaces in sealing engagement with opposed end faces of the rotor, the plates made of silicon carbide.
Anchored low pressure gear pump wear plate
A low pressure gear pump and wear plate is disclosed. The wear plate may comprise a sidewall, a drive portion, a driven portion, and a transition portion. The sidewall is free of a sealing member or a recess configured to receive the sealing member. The drive portion includes a drive inlet lip, a drive outlet lip, a drive recessed trough and a drive bore. The drive bore is configured to receive the drive shaft of the gear pump. The driven portion may that include a driven inlet lip, a driven outlet lip, a driven recessed trough, and a driven bore. The driven bore is configured to receive the driven shaft of the gear pump. The transition portion may include a transition aperture configured to receive a first fastener configured to mount the wear plate to the gear housing. The wear plate is made of bronze, aluminum or non-magnetic material.
Liquid pump and rankine cycle apparatus
A liquid pump of the present disclosure includes a container, a shaft, a bearing, a pump mechanism, a storage space, and a liquid supply passage. The shaft is disposed in the container. The bearing supports the shaft. The pump mechanism pumps a liquid by rotation of the shaft. The storage space is defined in the container at a position outside the pump mechanism. The storage space stores the liquid to be taken into the pump mechanism or the liquid to be discharged to outside of the container after being expelled from the pump mechanism. The liquid supply passage is a flow path including an inlet open to the storage space and supplying the liquid stored in the storage space to the bearing.
Rotary compressor with wear avoiding portion
A rotary compressor may include a rotary shaft; a plurality of plates that supports the rotary shaft; a cylinder provided between the plurality of plates to define a compression space, and provided with a vane slot; a roller slidably coupled to the rotary shaft inside of the cylinder, and having a hinge groove on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a vane, a first end which is slidably coupled to the vane slot of the cylinder, and a second end of which is rotatably coupled to the hinge groove of the roller. At least one of axial end surfaces of the roller facing the plurality of plates is provided with a wear avoiding portion having a predetermined depth. Contact surfaces between the roller and the plate may be suppressed from being in close contact with each other to suppress the roller or the plate from being damaged or a performance of the compressor due to friction loss from being deteriorated, thereby improving reliability and performance of the compressor.
Flexible impeller pump
A flexible impeller pump includes improved flexible impeller geometry, an impeller shaft having protruding portions that produce a stronger and more durable connection between the impeller shaft and the flexible impeller, a smoother housing cam surface, and wear resistant surfaces that are disposed between end faces of the flexible impeller and adjacent housing end walls.
Pump having an inner and outer rotor
A pump includes: a housing in which a pump chamber that is a columnar space is formed, the pump chamber being provided with a suction-side groove and a discharge-side groove that are formed as recesses; an outer rotor rotatably disposed in the pump chamber and having internal teeth on an inner periphery of the outer rotor; and an inner rotor disposed radially inward of the internal teeth of the outer rotor, and having external teeth formed on an outer periphery of the inner rotor and meshed with the internal teeth of the outer rotor. A portion of an inner edge of the discharge-side groove is located radially inward of a locus of tooth tips of the internal teeth of the outer rotor, the portion being located in a second half region of the discharge-side groove in a rotational direction of the inner rotor and the outer rotor.
Pump integrated with two independently driven prime movers
A pump having at least two fluid drivers and a method of delivering fluid from an inlet of the pump to an outlet of the pump using the at least two fluid drivers. Each of the fluid drives includes a prime mover and a fluid displacement member. The prime mover drives the fluid displacement member to transfer fluid. The fluid drivers are independently operated. However, the fluid drivers are operated such that contact between the fluid drivers is synchronized. That is, operation of the fluid drivers is synchronized such that the fluid displacement member in each fluid driver makes contact with another fluid displacement member. The contact can include at least one contact point, contact line, or contact area.
