PROGRESSIVE CAVITY PUMP CARTRIDGE WITH INFRARED TEMPERATURE SENSORS ON FLUID INLET AND OUTLET
A system includes a pump, an inlet sensor, an outlet sensor, and a controller. The pump is configured for pumping fluid in a phacoemulsification system. The inlet sensor is coupled with an inlet port of the pump and is configured to sense an inlet temperature of the fluid at the inlet port. The outlet sensor is coupled with an outlet port of the pump and is configured to sense an outlet temperature of the fluid at the outlet port. The controller is configured to take a responsive action based a difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature crossing a defined threshold.
Compressor having a control and diagnostic module
A refrigeration system includes a compressor and a capacitor electrically coupled to the compressor. A method of operating the refrigeration system includes measuring voltage values based on alternating current power powering the compressor. The method includes measuring current values based on the alternating current power. The method includes determining, with a controller, a power factor value based on at least one of the voltage values and at least one of the current values. The method includes receiving a supply air temperature value from an air temperature sensor installed in the refrigeration system. The method includes receiving a return air temperature value from an air temperature sensor installed in the refrigeration system. The method includes determining a temperature split based on a difference between the return and supply air temperature values. The method includes determining a fault in the capacitor based on the power factor value and the temperature split.
Compressor with liquid injection cooling
A positive displacement rotary compressor is designed for near isothermal compression, high pressure ratios, high revolutions per minute, high efficiency, mixed gas/liquid compression, a low temperature increase, a low outlet temperature, and/or a high outlet pressure. Liquid injectors provide cooling liquid that cools the working fluid and improves the efficiency of the compressor. A gate moves within the compression chamber to either make contact with or be proximate to the rotor as it turns.
Compressor having oil-level sensing system
A compressor may include a shell containing a motor, a compression mechanism and a lubricant sump. The compressor may also include first and second temperature sensors, and a control module. The first temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a first temperature of a lubricant at a first position. The second temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a second temperature of the lubricant at a second position that is vertically higher than the first position. The control module is in communication with the first and second temperature sensors. The control module may determine a first difference between the first temperature and the second temperature. The control module may determine whether a liquid level of the lubricant in the lubricant sump is below a predetermined level based on the first difference.
