Repeated cycles each consist of a pump down phase and a holding phase, wherein a start timepoint of each cycle is the timepoint when a rise in an inlet pressure of the pump is sufficiently large and the time extending between two consecutive cycle start timepoints is a cycle time. A control method includes determining a start of a next cycle during a present cycle, wherein it is preferable that the present cycle directly precedes the next cycle. The method further includes controlling the pump to accelerate to a maximum allowed speed during the holding phase of the present cycle before the start of the next cycle such that at the start of the next cycle full pump capacity is available.

ROTATING HEATING CHAMBER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

The invention comprises a method for heating a fluid in an engine, including: a rotor rotating relative to a stator about a shaft and a set of vanes extending radially outward, relative to an elongated axis of the shaft, between the rotator and the stator, the set of vanes separating a set of expansion chambers, where the method comprises the steps of: (1) applying a shear force to the fluid to form a gas with a rotatable chamber within the shaft of the engine; and (2) exhausting the gas from the shaft to a rotor-vane chamber, the rotor-vane chamber comprising a void in a vane slot on a shaft side of a first vane, of the set of vanes. Optionally, the gas applies a rotation force by passing the gas from the first vane to a trailing expansion chamber of the set of expansion chambers.

Screw Compressor System for a Utility Vehicle

A screw compressor system for a utility vehicle has at least one screw compressor, at least one screw compressor drive and at least one control and/or regulation unit. The control and/or regulation unit is connected to the screw compressor drive and is designed and configured such that it monitors, when the screw compressor is in operation, the ratio of idle time and switched on time of the screw compressor drive and this ratio controls and regulates to a predetermined range.

A supercharger constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a housing, a first rotor, a second rotor and a rotor shaft assembly. The first and second rotors are received in cylindrical overlapping chambers of the housing. The first rotor has a central longitudinal passage. The rotor shaft assembly rotatably supports the first rotor and includes a first rotor shaft and a separate and distinct second rotor shaft. The first and second rotor shafts are press-fit into the central passage defined in the first rotor.

SCREW COMPRESSOR AND REFRIGERATION APPARATUS

A screw compressor includes a screw rotor, a plurality of gate rotors, a casing with a cylindrical wall, and an adjustment mechanism to adjust a pressure of a fluid in the casing. A plurality of compression chambers are formed inside the cylindrical wall by the screw rotor and the gates. The plurality of compression chambers include a first compression chamber in which the fluid introduced into the casing with a suction pressure is compressed to a pressure higher than the suction pressure, and a second compression chamber to which the fluid compressed in the first compression chamber is sent via an intermediate pressure space. The adjustment mechanism adjusts an intermediate pressure, which is a pressure of the fluid in the intermediate pressure space, in a two-stage operation in which the fluid is compressed in the first compression chamber and the second compression chamber.
