DUAL DRIVE CO-ROTATING SPINNING SCROLL COMPRESSOR OR EXPANDER
A dual-drive co-rotating scroll device includes a housing; a first scroll rotatably mounted within the housing via a first cylindrical extension and a first plurality of bearings, and having a first axis of rotation; and a second scroll rotatably mounted within the housing via a second cylindrical extension and a second plurality of bearings, and having a second axis of rotation different than the first axis of rotation. At least one of the first cylindrical extension and the second cylindrical extension may comprise a plurality of permanent magnets and operate as a rotor of a first motor. An Oldham ring may be positioned between the first scroll and the second scroll and configured to maintain a relative angular position between the first scroll and the second scroll.

ROTARY COMPRESSOR
A compression unit of a rotary compressor includes a cylinder, an upper end plate that closes the upper side of the cylinder, a lower end plate that closes the lower side of the cylinder, and a piston that is fitted to a rotating shaft, revolves along an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, and forms a cylinder chamber in the cylinder. At least one of an end face of the piston in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, a sliding surface of the upper end plate that slides with the end face of the piston, and a sliding surface of the lower end plate that slides with the end face of the piston, has formed therein an oil-film retention region having an array of a plurality of recessed portions that retain lubricating oil.

AEROSTATIC THRUST BEARING AND METHOD OF AEROSTATICALLY SUPPORTING A THRUST LOAD IN A SCROLL COMPRESSOR
A scroll compressor includes a first scroll member, a second scroll member, and an aerostatic thrust bearing. The aerostatic thrust bearing forms a layer of gas between the second scroll member and a fixed supporting member to support the second scroll member as the second scroll member rotates and/or orbits. Also disclosed is a method of supporting a rotating/orbiting scroll member in a scroll compressor. The method including supplying pressurized gas to an aerostatic thrust bearing such that a layer of gas is formed between the rotating/orbiting scroll member and a fixed supporting member.

Multi-stage rotary vane pump
A multi-stage rotary vane pump comprising at least two rotor elements. The rotor elements are supported by a rotor shaft. The rotor elements and the rotor shaft are in the form of a single piece.
Oil separator
A centrifugal-separation type oil separator includes a cylindrical separator body, and an inflow pipe arranged to introduce a fluid including an oil into the separator body. The inflow pipe includes a curved portion. The curved portion includes at least one oil draining hole.

Scroll compressor
A scroll compressor includes oil in an oil storage space that is brought into direct contact with and stirred with a discharge refrigerant. The scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll coupled to one side of the fixed scroll, and a discharge cover coupled to another side of the fixed scroll and provided with a muffler hole communicating with a refrigerant discharge space and the oil storage space.
