The second scroll member includes a second end plate that has a first surface, a second surface, and an oil passage. The first surface has a second scroll wrap meshingly engaging the first scroll wrap. The second surface includes an oil aperture. The oil passage is in fluid communication with the oil aperture. The bearing housing cooperates with the second scroll member to define an interior volume. Lubricant in the interior volume is selectively allowed to flow into the oil passage via the oil aperture.

Method of priming a pump of an aircraft engine

A method of priming a pump includes supplying lubricant, via a priming flow path, into an interface defined between a first part of a shaft of the pump and a second part of the shaft coaxially engaged with the first part of the shaft to define the pump, the first part of the shaft rotatable about a rotation axis relative to the second part of the shaft, and supplying lubricant into the interface via a lubrication flow path that is different from the priming flow path. A method of lubricating an aircraft motor of an aircraft engine, and a machine for an aircraft engine are also described.

A compressor according to embodiments of the present disclosure comprises a discharge valve which is provided so as to be coupled to a fixed scroll and open/close a discharge hole. The discharge valve includes a coupling portion which is coupled to one surface of the fixed scroll, the surface facing a muffler, and a head portion extending from the coupling portion and opening/closing the discharge hole. The head portion may be provided with a communicating hole for allowing the discharge hole and the muffler to be in communication with each other. Accordingly, a backflow of a compressed refrigerant is prevented during the operation of the compressor, and thus over-compression of the refrigerant can be prevented. Also, when the compressor stops operating, only a certain amount of the discharged refrigerant is allowed to flow backward to prevent a reverse rotation of an orbiting scroll and a decrease in the oil level of the oil stored in a case.

Rotary compressor and rotation mechanism

A rotary compressor, comprising: a housing, comprising a lubricant oil storage part for containing lubricating oil; a compression mechanism disposed in the housing; a driving mechanism driving the compression mechanism, the driving mechanism comprising a rotation shaft, through-holes extending along the axial direction of the rotating shaft are disposed inside the rotating shaft, and the rotation shaft is in fluid connection with the lubricating oil storage part via the through-holes; and an oil level sensor in fluid connection with the through-holes inside the rotation shaft via a pressurized collection channel. Also disclosed is a rotation mechanism, comprising an oil level sensor in fluid connection with the through-holes inside the rotation shaft via the pressurized collection channel. Accurate and reliable detection of the lubricating oil in a compressor can be done using the pressurized collection channel and the oil level sensor, thus greatly saving cost and improving compressor reliability.

Compressor oil management system

A compressor includes a compression mechanism and a driveshaft that drives the compression mechanism. The driveshaft may include a first axially extending passage, a second axially extending passage, and a lubricant distribution passage. The first and second axially extending passages may be radially offset from each other and may intersect each other at an overlap region. The first and second axially extending passages are in fluid communication with each other at the overlap region. The lubricant distribution passage may extend from the first axially extending passage through an outer diametrical surface of the driveshaft. The lubricant distribution passage may be disposed at a first axial distance from a first axial end of the driveshaft. A first axial end of the overlap region may be disposed at a second axial distance from the first axial end of the driveshaft. The first axial distance may be greater than the second axial distance.

The present invention relates to a scroll compressor having a regulating part, provided in a modular manner outside of a compression part, for determining whether to selectively supply oil from one oil-feeding path to a plurality of regions inside the compression part that compresses a refrigerant.

DAMPING SYSTEM FOR COMPRESSOR

A squeeze film damper assembly for a compressor includes a damper sleeve configured to be disposed about a rotor shaft of the compressor. The damper sleeve includes a pressure dam pocket formed in an inner circumference of the damper sleeve. The pressure dam pocket is configured to receive a flow of lubricant and to pressurize the flow of lubricant via rotation of the rotor shaft. The damper sleeve includes an outlet passage extending from the pressure dam pocket to an outer circumference of the damper sleeve. The squeeze film damper assembly also includes a bearing housing disposed about the damper sleeve to form a damper gap extending between the outer circumference of the damper sleeve and the bearing housing. The damper gap is fluidly coupled to the outlet passage and is configured to receive the flow of lubricant from the pressure dam pocket.
