Engine
Embodiments are directed toward an engine. In some embodiments, the engine includes a water pump and a balancer shaft. In some embodiments, the water pump has a plain bearing. In some embodiments, plain bearing is supplied with pressurized oil. In some embodiments, the balancer shaft drives the water pump as well as cam shafts.
FLUID SYSTEM WITH A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
A technique for providing a water pumping system suitable for fighting wildfire, flood mediation, sewage transport, and the like is revealed. The system includes an internal combustion engine, a CVT with an input shaft and an output shaft, and a pump with an axial flow impeller. In one variation, multiple impeller stages are used and/or several systems are daisy-chained to provide for suitable delivery of water from its source. In another form, the system is carried by an all-terrain vehicle, side-by-side, or the like, to reach remote areas that need to move water to address a hazardous condition.
Aquacycle pump and method of use
The present invention relates in general to the field of water pumps, and more specifically, to an attachment configured to connect to the rear wheel of a motorcycle or motorscooter to provide power to a water pump and a method of pumping water using the attachment. One aspect of the aquacycle pump includes a base plate and a kick-stand support bracket configured to slidably adjust so that the aquacycle pump may be compatible with different sizes of motorcycles or motorscooters. The aquacycle pump may further include a roller that is configured to abut against the rear wheel of the motorcycle or motorscooter. The aquacycle pump may further include a water pump, wherein the water pump is connected to the roller. The aquacycle pump is configured such that as the engine of the motorcycle or motorscooter is started and power is provided to rotate its rear wheel, the abutting roller of the aquacycle pump also rotates. The rotation of the roller, in turn, operates the water pump to convey water to a location where water is needed. The purpose of the invention is to provide a device and method that may utilize existing motorized vehicles prevalent in developing countries (e.g., motorcycles, motorscooters), instead of electricity or petrol generators, to provide energy to a water pump for delivering water.
Particle guard ring for mixed flow pump
A mixed-flow impeller for an electric submersible pump can include a lower end and an upper end; a hub that includes a through bore that defines an axis; blades that extend at least in part radially outward from the hub where each of the blades includes a leading edge and a trailing edge; an upper balance ring that includes a radially inward facing balance chamber surface and a radially outward facing diffuser clearance surface; and an upper guard ring disposed radially outwardly from the upper balance ring where the upper guard ring includes an axially facing diffuser clearance surface that is disposed axially between the trailing edges of the blades and the upper end.
Scavenging centrifugal baffle pump
A scavenging centrifugal baffle pump. The scavenging centrifugal baffle pump includes a main pump, which includes a pump housing. The scavenging centrifugal baffle pump further includes a baffle connected to the main pump housing and defines defining an interior volume. The scavenging centrifugal baffle pump also includes a gear coupled to the main pump at least partially located in the interior volume of the baffle, a reservoir defined in the interior volume of the baffle, an inlet defined in the baffle adjacent to the reservoir and an elongate passage defined by the baffle.
Automotive accessory having an electromagnet pulley assist mechanism equipped with circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body
An electrically and mechanically driven automotive accessory including a housing, an electric motor, a pulley, and a pulley assist mechanism. The electric motor comprises a stator assembly that is mounted to the housing and a rotating assembly that is mounted to a shaft. The electric motor creates a primary torque flow path that drives rotation of the rotating assembly relative to the stator assembly. The pulley is rotatable relative to the shaft and the rotating assembly. The pulley assist mechanism includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body, a rotor body fixedly mounted to the shaft, and an electromagnet that is configured to induce a magnetic field between the circumferentially spaced teeth, the rotor body, and the pulley, which creates a secondary torque flow path between the pulley and the rotor body.
LIQUID CIRCULATOR
A circulator is described that is configured to circulate liquids such as water, chemical mixtures, suspensions and the like. The circulator has an oscillation shaft disposed within, for example concentrically disposed within, a support tube that is used to mount the circulator to a support structure. Locating the oscillation shaft within the support tube makes the circulator more compact, achieves better alignment of the oscillation shaft and the support tube, and makes the circulator stronger compared to a circulator where the oscillation shaft is not disposed within a support tube. In one embodiment, the circulator can be used to create a continuous flow of water in a body of water including around marinas, areas around docks, and waterfronts.
MOLTEN METAL TRANSFER DEVICE
A device includes a molten metal pump and a metal-transfer conduit. A clamp may be used to attach the metal-transfer conduit to the pump. The pump has a pump base including an indentation configured to receive the metal-transfer conduit and align the pump outlet with the transfer inlet. The pump outlet may be formed in the indentation and preferably near the center of the indentation in order to better align with the transfer inlet. As the pump operates it moves molten metal through a pump outlet that is in communication with a transfer inlet in the metal-transfer conduit. The molten metal enters the transfer inlet, moves upwards in a passage in the metal-transfer conduit, and out of a transfer outlet.
PUMP-DRIVEN COOLANT FILLING DEVICE AND METHODS
A system for cooling a circuit component on an electronic device includes a closed-loop cooling circuit and a coolant filling device. The closed-loop cooling circuit includes a coolant block, a first pump and a radiator. The coolant filling device includes a container, a base and a second pump disposed inside the base. The coolant filling device is configured for attachment to the cooling circuit. In some embodiments, when the coolant filling device is attached to the cooling circuit, coolant may be circulated from the coolant filling device to the cooling circuit while the cooling circuit circulates coolant. In further embodiments, when the coolant filling device is attached to the cooling circuit, coolant may be circulated from the coolant filling device to the cooling circuit while the electronic device remains powered on.
SQUIRREL CAGE PULLEY ASSIST ELECTROMAGNETIC WATER PUMP
