A downhole-type device includes an electric machine. The electric machine includes an electrical rotor configured to couple with a device to drive or be driven by the electric machine. An electrical stator surrounds the electric rotor. The electric stator includes a seal configured to isolate stator windings from an outside, downhole environment. An inner surface of the seal and an outer surface of the electric rotor define an annulus exposed to the outside environment. A bearing couples the electric rotor to the electric stator. A lubrication system is fluidically coupled to the downhole-type device. The lubrication system includes a topside pressure pump and a downhole-type distribution manifold configured to be used within a wellbore. The distribution manifold is fluidically connected to the topside pressure pump and the bearing to receive a flow of lubricant from the topside pressure pump.

A rotary blood pump includes a casing defining a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a blood inlet and a tangential blood outlet. One or more motor stators are provided outside of the pumping chamber. A rotatable impeller is within the pumping chamber and is adapted to cause blood entering the pumping chamber to move to the blood outlet. The impeller has one or more magnetic regions. The impeller is radially constrained in rotation by magnetic coupling to one or more motor stators and is axially constrained in rotation by one or more hydrodynamic thrust bearing surfaces on the impeller.

The invention is based on a pump apparatus, in particular a magnetic coupling pump apparatus, having a rotor shaft (16), having a pump impeller (22) which is securely connected to the rotor shaft (16), having at least one axial bearing (18) which rotatably supports the rotor shaft (16) at a side facing the pump impeller (22), having a magnetic pump stator (42), having a magnetic pump rotor (44) which is connected to the rotor shaft (16) in a rotationally secure manner, having a containment can (30) which extends between the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) and which at least partially closes a central pump space (28), and having at least one central support element (32) which is mounted in the region of the pump impeller (22) in a rotationally secure manner.

It is proposed that the pump apparatus (1) have an elastomer disk (36) which is arranged between the support element (32) and the axial bearing (18) and that the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) be arranged with an axial offset (X) with respect to each other, wherein the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) are provided as a result of the axial offset (X) to produce an axial force F(ax, mag) in the direction of the elastomer disk (36).

Systems and methods for producing fluids from a subterranean well include an electrical submersible pump assembly with a motor-pump unit. The motor-pump unit has a motor housing and a stator is located within the motor housing. The stator has a stator body with an interior cavity. A rotor assembly is located within the interior cavity of the stator. The rotor assembly includes a rotor shaft extending along the central axis of the stator, a rotor member, and an intermediate rotor bearing assembly. The rotor member and the intermediate rotor bearing assembly circumscribe the rotor shaft. An impeller is mounted on the rotor shaft and located within the interior cavity of the stator. A liner with a polygonal cross section is located along an interior surface of the interior cavity. The liner is secured to the motor housing and seals the stator body from a wellbore fluid.

The rear cover has a main body portion having a cover end wall, and an extended disk portion cooperating with the main body portion to define an accommodating space. The casing and the rear cover cooperatively define an annular groove, a liquid-receiving space and a plurality of guiding grooves therebetween. The leak detector is disposed on one side of the cover end wall opposite to the liquid-receiving space for detecting a change in electrostatic capacity between the leak detector and the liquid-receiving space. The annular groove communicates with the liquid-receiving space, the accommodating space and each of the guiding grooves.

The present invention relates to a water pump including a lower casing in which a rotor accommodating part is formed to protrude downwardly and a lower bearing mounting part is formed at a lower end of an inner portion; an upper casing in which an inlet part introducing a fluid and an outlet part discharging the fluid are formed and an upper bearing mounting part is formed to extend from a lower end of the inlet part toward the impeller accommodating space; an impeller rotatably provided in the impeller accommodating space; and a rotor provided in the rotor accommodating space of the lower casing and coupled to the impeller. A fluid may smoothly flow toward an introduction side of the impeller, and thus, a pressure drop of the fluid and an unstable flow of the fluid may be prevented to improve performance.

The rotor core has a first core portion disposed on an inner side of the magnet insertion hole in the radial direction, a second core portion disposed on an outer side of the magnet insertion hole in the radial direction, and a hole separating the first core portion and the second core portion from each other. The rotor cover has a positioning portion that positions the first core portion and the second core portion in a circumferential direction about the axis.
