Gas Seal Column Pump for Elevated Temperature Applications
The gas seal column pump may comprise a pump drive, a gas seal column with a corrosion resistant telescoping liner, a seal gas control box, and a pump. A drive motor of the pump drive, the gas seal column, and the pump may comprise a sealed, vertically-oriented, pumping system where the gas seal column is operable to replace mechanical seals around a drive shaft that couples the drive motor to the pump. A pressurized seal gas pumped into the gas seal column may displace corrosive fumes and the product being pumped. An unsealed pump drive motor may be used for certain applications. The vertical length of the telescoping liner may be controlled to mitigate interference with pump operation. Responsive to inputs from the level sensors, a seal gas control box may regulate the pressure of the seal gas using a plurality of valves.
SUBMERSIBLE ELECTRIC MACHINE
A submersible electric machine for transporting a liquid, the machine having a hydraulic unit with an impeller, and a drive unit with a housing defining a motor compartment having an electric motor inside. A drive shaft is connected to the electric motor, and extends from the electric motor to the hydraulic unit to a connection with the impeller. A top unit includes a housing defining an electronics chamber separated from the motor compartment by a dividing structural wall. The electronics chamber has a metal partition, having a natural frequency equal to or more than 500 Hz, connected to the top unit housing. A vibration sensor is directly or indirectly connected to the metal partition and monitors vibrations in at least two dimensions at frequencies ranging up to 500 Hz.
PORTABLE PUMP
A pump for non-flammable liquids has an improved mounting for the motor which facilitates the relatively quick and easy removal of the motor from the pump. The pump has a main body which is hollow and cylindrical. A motor housing is connected to the main body by threads at a first end and has a removable end cap on its second end. The electric motor is located in said motor housing and secured when the end cap is on the motor housing. An electronics housing has a battery adapter plate, a switch, and a discharge port, and encloses wires and electronics such that the motor pumps the liquid from the end cap, through the motor housing and the main body, and out of the discharge port when the switch is turned on.
Up-thrusting fluid system
A submersible fluid system for operating submersed in a body of water includes a fluid-end housing having an upper end and a lower end. A fluid rotor is disposed to rotate in the fluid-end housing and to receive and interact with a process fluid flowing from an inlet of the fluid-end housing to an outlet of the fluid-end housing. The fluid rotor is configured to thrust upwards toward the upper end when rotating. A bearing near the lower end of the fluid-end housing has an upward-facing bearing surface coupled to the fluid rotor and a downward-facing bearing surface coupled to the fluid housing, the bearing surfaces cooperate to support the upward thrust of the fluid rotor.
Seal bracket assembly and pump and motor system including same
A seal bracket assembly includes a coupling member having: a first end for sealingly engaging a pump; an opposite second end for sealingly engaging a source of rotary force; a passage defined therein which extends between the first and second ends which is structured to accommodate therein a linkage coupling an output shaft of the source of rotary force and an input shaft of the pump; and a drain port defined in the coupling member which extends between the passage and an outer surface of the coupling member. The assembly further includes an air tank which defines an air space of a predetermined volume therein and includes and an inlet, coupled to the drain port such that the passage and the air space are in fluid communication with each other, and an outlet, which is the only opening to the surrounding environment.
GAS SEAL COLUMN APPARATUS
A gas seal column apparatus includes a vertically-oriented column, a pump, an inlet pipe, a an outlet pipe, and a drive shaft driven by any type of motor. The pump and the gas seal column comprise a vertically-oriented pump system. The inlet pipe receives pressurized seal gas for introducing the seal gas into the pump system. The outlet pipe enables the seal gas to exit the pump system. The drive shaft is encased by the gas seal column between the pump drive motor and the pump to couple the pump drive motor to the pump.
Cooling arrangement of a pump intended for pumping a liquid
A pump for pumping liquid, the pump including a drive unit and a heat sink arranged to carry off heat that is generated in the drive unit, the drive unit including a motor compartment that in the radial direction is delimited by a motor casing and that accommodates an electric motor having a stator, a coupling compartment that at least partly is delimited by a pump top casing and that accommodates a power supply component, an upper partition that is arranged between the motor compartment and the coupling compartment. The motor casing includes an outer jacket that is connected to and that in the axial direction extends between the upper partition and the heat sink, an inner stator housing that extends between the stator and the heat sink, and a gas filled gap that in the radial direction separates the outer jacket and the inner stator housing.
Gas seal column apparatus with sensor column
A gas seal column apparatus includes a pump drive motor, a gas seal column, a pump system, a level sensor, and a control box. The gas seal column receives a seal gas for pressurizing the gas seal column. The pump system includes a pump and the gas seal column. The pump system is coupled to the pump drive motor and moves a product through the pump. The level sensor is supported on a sensor column that is separate from the gas seal column to detect a level of the product in the gas seal column and any fumes in the gas seal column. The control box is in communication with the level sensor and controls the seal gas received within the gas seal column and the sensor column to control an amount of fumes and the level of the product within the gas seal column.
