A flow delivery system to deliver and monitor a liquid flow, using a pump, and a monitoring device (e.g. a flow meter) are described. A controller determines if the flow is a liquid flow or a gas flow by reducing a drive signal for the pump from a first drive signal to a second drive signal. This changes the characteristics of both the pump drive signal and the characteristics of the resulting flow. Based on the change in the characteristics, the flow is determined to be a liquid flow or a gas flow.

DETERMINING AND UTILIZING A DESIRED FREQUENCY FOR A MECHANICAL SHAKER FOR A SUMP PUMP SYSTEM

A sump pump system enables automatic determination and utilization of frequencies for mechanical shakers for sump pumps. These techniques may be implemented to detect a fault (e.g., a stuck impeller) with a sump pump and to identify a desirable frequency at which a mechanical shaker for the sump pump should vibrate to correct the fault.

Method and system for determining the real-time flow into a wastewater pump station using analog level sensing technologies. An Accurate Level Generator mechanism supplies an accurate mean value out of multiple readings for each level used to calculate the volume between levels. Two consecutive levels are used to calculate the volume between them using an Accurate Flow Calculator and the time it took to get from one level to the other. A Real Time Inflow Calculator adds results regarding the pumps in operation and overflow events, which are ways for the water to exit the pumping station. At a water level approaching where the pumps start or stop, or when abnormal events occur, a Predictive Abnormal Event Adjuster replaces the highly probable abnormal Real Time Inflow Result by a more stable and possible value, which is the last one calculated plus its variation over time.

Well management system

A well management system provides Internet-enabled monitoring, configuration, and control of a well system that may include a pump and a pressure tank. A controller is operatively coupled to the pump. The controller controls the pump based on pressure readings from a pressure sensor to maintain a configured pressure range within the system. The controller can communicate with a management system via a communications network. The management system is further in communication with one or more client devices, which may be associated with a homeowner, a service provider, a manufacturer, or the like. Via the management system, the client devices can receive information from the controller and send commands to the controller.

A hydraulic motor-driven fuel boost pump includes redundant safeguards against overspeeding the impellers. A flow limiter limits the amount of hydraulic fluid that can be supplied to the hydraulic motor, thereby limiting the torque that can be applied to the impellers. A control valve also transitions between a non-restrictive operating state and a restrictive operating state. In the restrictive operating state the control valve regulates the displacement of the swash plate when in the non-restrictive operating state. The control valve does not counter the bias of the swash plate control spring when in the restrictive operating state.

Pump assembly and related methods

In one aspect, a pump is provided comprising a motor configured to rotate a shaft that is operably coupled to an impeller. The impeller is housed within a fluid chamber having an inlet and a discharge in fluid communication with the inlet. The fluid chamber further includes an outlet in a top portion thereof for venting air within the fluid chamber when the impeller is rotated by the motor. In other forms, a pump assembly is provided with an internal float switch integrated into the pump housing.
