20230003225 · 2023-01-05 ·

Rotor structure for a turbomachine, such as a centrifugal compressor is provided. Disclosed embodiments make use of venting/sealing arrangements effective for venting a tie bolt rotor so that, for example, an incipient leakage of a process fluid can be monitored. Additionally, in operation disclosed embodiments are effective to, for example, convey to the tie bolt a pressurized sealing fluid effective for reducing the likelihood of process fluid escaping to the atmosphere.

ROTARY MACHINE SYSTEM

A rotary machine system includes: a rotary machine including a gas seal portion; a gas seal device connected to the rotary machine and that supplies a seal gas to the gas seal portion; and a connecting pipe that connects the gas seal portion and the gas seal device. The rotary machine includes a casing through which a working fluid flows; a rotatable rotary shaft; and the gas seal portion that seals the working fluid by the seal gas having a pressure higher than a pressure of the working fluid in the casing. The gas seal device includes: a seal gas supply pipe through which the seal gas delivered to the connecting pipe flows; a pressure regulating valve provided in the seal gas supply pipe and that adjusts the pressure of the seal gas supplied to the gas seal portion; and a control part.

ROTARY MACHINE SYSTEM

A rotary machine system includes: a rotary machine including a gas seal portion; a gas seal device connected to the rotary machine and that supplies a seal gas to the gas seal portion; a pressure sensor that detects a pressure of the seal gas; a vent portion that discharges the seal gas discharged from the gas seal portion; and a vent pressure sensor that detects a pressure in the vent portion. The rotary machine includes: a casing through which a working fluid flows; a rotatable rotary shaft that passes; and the gas seal portion provided between the casing and the rotary shaft and that seals the working fluid by the seal gas having a pressure higher than a pressure of the working fluid in the casing. The gas seal device includes: a pressure regulating valve; and a control part that controls the pressure regulating valve.

Shaft Seal

A shaft seal for an exhaust fan. The seal limits leakage from within an exhaust fan housing around an exhaust fan drive shaft that extends between a rotational power source exterior to the exhaust fan housing and a position within the exhaust fan housing. The seal comprises a plenum generally positioned about the exhaust fan drive shaft at the point where the shaft extends into the fan housing; an auxiliary blower comprising a housing, an internal blade driven by an auxiliary blower drive shaft, and an auxiliary blower drive to rotate the drive shaft where the auxiliary blower drive is operatively associated with the rotational power source such that operation of the rotational power sources causes a rotation of the exhaust fan drive shaft and the auxiliary blower drive shaft; and a duct fluidly connecting the auxiliary blower housing to the plenum.

CONTAMINATION PREVENTION IN THE BLOWER OF A VENTILATOR

A ventilator having at least one motor-operated blower for generating an air flow. The blower is configured and designed such that during the generation of the air flow in the blower different pressure regions with different pressures are formed in such a way that an air flow in the direction of the motor is prevented.

The present invention provides a vacuum pump that measures the temperature of a rotating portion accurately and at low cost, a stator column of the vacuum pump, a base, and an exhaust system of the vacuum pump at low cost. The vacuum pump according to the present embodiment, the thread groove-type seal for causing some of the purge gas to flow back toward the temperature sensor unit is provided on the downstream side of the purge gas flow path in which the temperature sensor unit is disposed, thereby increasing the pressure of the purge gas in the vicinity of the temperature sensor unit. Thus, with the small amount of purge gas, the gas pressure around the temperature sensor unit can create an intermediate flow or a viscous flow. Consequently, the total amount of purge gas to be supplied can be saved, resulting in cost reduction.

SEAL DEVICE AND ROTARY MACHINE

A seal device has a seal main body. The seal main body includes a plurality of holes arranged to be recessed from a facing surface facing a rotor which rotates around an axis, and an ejection flow path which guides a fluid to bottom portions of the holes and ejects the fluid from the bottom portions.

Submersible well fluid system

A submersible well fluid system for operating submerged in a body of water may include an electric machine and a fluid end. The electric machine includes a rotor and a stator residing in a first housing at specified conditions. The fluid end may include an impeller and be coupled to the electric machine. The submersible well fluid system may also include an adjustable speed drive for the electric machine in the housing. The submersible well fluid system may also include a chemical distribution system for supplying treatment chemicals to the submersible well fluid system, a barrier fluid supply system for supplying a barrier fluid to the submersible well fluid system, and a pressure management system.

CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SUPPLYING PURGE GAS

Aspects of the present invention relate to method of controlling a supply of purge gas to reduce leakage past a dynamic seal (10). The dynamic seal (10) comprising at least a first sealing member (12-1) having opposing first and second sides (12-1A, 12-1B). A pressure differential (ΔP) is determined between a first operating pressure (P1) on the first side of the first sealing member (12-1) and a second operating pressure (P2) on the second side of the first sealing member (12-1). The supply of purge gas to the second side of the first sealing member (12-1) is controlled in dependence on the determined pressure differential (ΔP). Aspects of the invention relate to a controller (23) for controlling a supply of purge gas; a dynamic sealing system (1) for a vacuum system (2); and a vacuum system (2).
