Fluid pump changeable in diameter, in particular for medical application
The invention relates to a fluid pump device, in particular for the medical application, with a compressible pump housing and rotor, as well as with an actuation means which runs in the sleeve and on whose end the fluid pump is arranged. In order to utilize all possibilities of a space-saving arrangement of the respective pump housing of the rotor, which is compressible per se, and as the case may be, a bearing arrangement, the mentioned elements are displaceable to one another in the axial direction compared to an operation position. In particular these elements may be end-configured by way of an axial movement of the drive shaft after the assembly.
Turbocompressor with adapted meridian contour of the blades and compressor wall
The invention relates to a turbocompressor (1) comprising a compressor housing (2) and a compressor wheel (4) with blades (5). The compressor wheel (4) is rotatably mounted relative to the compressor housing (2) and is arranged such that the exposed upper edges of the blades (5) are spaced from a compressor housing (2) wall (3) facing the blade upper edges across a head gap (7), wherein both the upper edges of the blades (5) as well as the housing wall (3) have at least one recess (11, 13) and at least one elevation (10, 14) over the respective Meridian contour, said recess and elevation interacting locally such that the head gap (7) defines a Z-shaped course in the region of the recesses (11, 13) and the elevations (10, 14) when viewed on a Meridian plane.
Heart assist device with expandable impeller pump
An impeller includes a hub and a blade supported by the hub. The impeller has a stored configuration in which the blade is compressed so that its distal end moves towards the hub, and a deployed configuration in which the blade extends away from the hub. The impeller may be part of a pump for pumping fluids, such as blood, and may include a cannula having a proximal portion with a fixed diameter, and a distal portion with an expandable diameter. The impeller may reside in the expandable portion of the cannula. The cannula may have a compressed diameter which allows it to be inserted percutaneously into a patient. Once at a desired location, the expandable portion of the cannula may be expanded and the impeller expanded to the deployed configuration. A flexible drive shaft may extend through the cannula for rotationally driving the impeller within the patient.
FLUID PUMP HAVING AT LEAST ONE IMPELLER BLADE AND A SUPPORT DEVICE
The invention relates to a fluid pump comprising at least one impeller blade (1, 1′, 1″) which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (3) and conveys a fluid in operation and comprising a support device (4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 12′, 13, 13′, 14, 14′, 15, 17) which supports the at least one impeller blade (1, 1′, 1″) in at least one support region, wherein the support device is changeable between a first state in which the rotor is radially compressed and a second state in which the rotor is radially expanded; and wherein at least one impeller blade extends at least partly radially inwardly with respect to the axis of rotation (3) from the support region/support regions in the radially expanded state of the rotor.
CONVEYING BLADES FOR A COMPRESSIBLE ROTOR
To provide a simple embodiment of a rotor for a fluid pump which is nevertheless very flexible in handling and compressible, in accordance with the invention a conveying blade is provided having at least two struts and a membrane spanned between them in the expanded state, wherein the struts each have at least one joint, in particular more than one joint, which enables an angling in a first direction in a first movement plane and bounds an overelongation beyond an elongation angle of in particular 180° in the opposite second direction. In particular when a plurality of joints are provided at the struts, they, and with them the conveying blades, are particularly flexible for simple compressibility.
COMPRESSIBLE ROTOR FOR A FLUID PUMP
The invention relates to a rotor for a fluid pump, in particular for use in the medical sphere, the rotor being compressible for bringing to the place of use and thereafter being expandable. The compressibility is assisted by the provision of cavities, in particular also production of the rotor at least partially from a foam.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PROPELLER FOR A PROPELLER PUMP, AND PROPELLER FOR A PROPELLER PUMP
A method for manufacturing a propeller for a propeller pump includes providing a base propeller including a hub extending from an axial end in the axial direction, and a plurality of blades fixedly connected to the hub, each blade including a pressure side, a suction side, a leading edge, an initial trailing edge, and a blade tip extending from the leading edge to the initial trailing edge at the end of the blade facing away from the hub, trimming each of the blades of the base propeller the axial direction, and forming a modified trailing edge bye removing a part of the initial trailing edge along the entire pressure side from the hub to the blade tip.
Fluid pump having a radially compressible rotor
To design the rotor (6, 6′, 6″, 6′″, 60, 60′) as compressible in the radial direction in a fluid pump, in particular for microinvasive medical use, said rotor is configured as stretchable in its longitudinal direction (16) by push elements and pull elements acting axially on it.
Pump housing with an interior for accommodating a pump rotor
In a pump housing having an interior for accommodating a pump rotor, which may be transferred from a radially compressed state into a radially expanded state, and comprises a housing skin revolving in circumferential direction, as well as at least one reinforcement element, a stretch-resistant element revolving in circumferential direction is provided, which is stretched less than 5% in the expanded state as opposed to the force-free state in circumferential direction, and which limits any further expansion of the pump housing in radial direction.
Integrated power pump
A pump includes a housing, a process stream input, a process stream output, a power stream inlet, and a rotor. The rotor comprises an impeller, a shroud, and a turbine. The impeller comprises fluid motive elements positioned about a central axis of the rotor and extending outward to the shroud. The turbine comprises runners formed on an outwardly facing surface of the shroud of the rotor. The shroud extends radially about the fluid motive elements of the impeller. The rotor is rotatably supported within the housing. The runners cause the rotor to rotate when the power stream flows through a fluid path impinging the runners thereby transferring energy from the flow of the power stream received through a power stream inlet into rotational energy of the fluid motive elements of the impeller to propel the process stream from a process stream input out a process stream output.
