The at least one impeller is in the pump housing.
SHROUDED FAN IMPELLER WITH REDUCED COVER OVERLAP
The described embodiments relate to improving efficiency of a low-profile cooling fan. In one embodiment, an impeller of the cooling fan includes a shroud which covers a central portion of the impeller, thereby allowing a central inlet portion of the blades to have an increased fan blade height when compared to a cooling fan constrained by minimum part tolerances between the fan blades and a portion of the fan housing. In some embodiments, the impeller includes splitter blades that can improve performance of the low-profile cooling fan.
BOSS THERMAL SEAL
Systems and methods for thermal seals are described herein. A thermal seal may comprise a first metallic plate having a first inner surface and a first outer surface, a second metallic plate having a second inner surface and a second outer surface, the second metallic plate being oriented substantially parallel to the first metallic plate such that the first inner surface and the second inner surface are separated by a gap, and a thermal wool having a plate portion in contact with the first inner surface and the second inner surface, the plate portion filling a void between the first inner surface and the second inner surface, and having a shoulder portion extending from a perimeter of the plate portion, the shoulder portion extending outward from between the first metallic plate and the second metallic plate.
Blower Motor Assembly Having Air Directing Surface
A blower assembly includes a centrifugal fan and a motor assembly. The centrifugal fan has a plurality of axially extending impeller blades, a first axial end, and an air inlet. The air inlet is at the first axial end of the centrifugal fan. The motor assembly comprises a stator, a rotor, and an air directing surface. The air directing surface is shaped and configured to direct air drawn into the air inlet radially outwardly toward the impeller blades. The air directing surface extends generally along the rotor axis from its first end to its second end. At least a surface region of the air directing surface generally circumscribes the rotor axis and diverges radially outwardly as such surface region of the air directing surface extends away from the first end toward the second end.
Annular compression system and a method of operating the same
Various embodiments are provided herein for a system and method for air compression. In at least some embodiments provided herein, there is provided a compressor device having an annular chamber, at least one inlet port, at least one blade, at least one dynamic partition wall and at least one outlet, wherein when the at least one partition wall is in a closed position, the at least one blade approaching the at least one partition wall causes the air to compress and wherein when the at least one partition wall is in the open position, at least one blade moves from a first side to a second side of the at least one partition wall. The compressor device may contain a gearbox train configured to move the at least one partition wall from the closed position to the open position when the at least one blade is within a predetermined distance.
Adaptive volutes for centrifugal pumps
Centrifugal pump systems and related methods are disclosed herein that can shift a best efficiency point of a pump based on one or more operating conditions to operate more efficiently across and/or adjust to a broader range of conditions. Pumps provided for herein can include an adaptive volute in which a geometry of the volute can be adjusted to shift an operating efficiency of the pump. In some embodiments, a height or radial dimension of the adaptive volute can be adjusted based on one or more operating condition. A geometry of the adaptive volute can be adjusted during operation of the pump and/or while an impeller is disposed within the volute. In some embodiments, a first and second collar can be disposed within the adaptive volute. Rotation of the first component can move the second component axially, which can expand or contract an axial dimension of the adaptive volute.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR BUNDLE AND CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A centrifugal compressor bundle that is provided with a bundle main body in which is formed an annular intake flow channel (FC1) that is centered on an axis line (O) and that leads a process gas (G) into a flow channel (FC) of an impeller, and in which is also formed an annular discharge flow channel (FC2) that is centered on the axis line (O) and that discharges the process gas (G) from the flow channel (FC) of the impeller. The bundle main body has a plurality of diaphragms that are aligned in the direction of the axis line (O) and that are bonded to each other. From among the plurality of diaphragms, an intake diaphragm in which the intake flow channel (FC1) is formed is partitioned so as to have an upper-half part and a lower-half part that sandwich, from above and below, a horizontal plane that includes the axis line (O). The upper-half part and the lower-half part have the same rigidity in the direction of the axis line (O).
