FRUIT OR VEGETABLE SHAPED FAN FOR DISPERSING AIRBORNE EYE IRRITANTS
The present invention relates to a fruit or vegetable shaped fan for dispersing airborne eye irritants that are released during cutting fruits or vegetables. The fan includes a base that is wedge-shaped, an air inflow collimator that is fruit or vegetable shaped having an open front end, an internal frame that is configured to provide minimal abatement to airflow through the air inflow collimator, a motor mount that secures a motor, a fan blade that attaches to the motor, and a grill that attaches to the open front end of the air inflow collimator. The fan is configured to disperse airborne eye irritants away from a user's eyes. Airborne eye irritants are released when certain fruits and vegetables are chopped or otherwise cut. Such fruits and vegetables that can release airborne eye irritants when cut include onions, peppers, and certain other fruits and vegetables.
BLOWER WITH SILENCER AND MOVING OBJECT WITH PROPELLER
A fan, and a silencer that silences a sound generated by the fan are provided, in which the silencer has a resonance characteristic, the silencer is disposed at a position connected to a sound field space of the sound generated by the fan, and a sum of an absorbance and a reflectivity of the silencer at a resonance frequency is 10% to 43% and a standardized half-width of the silencer is more than 0.05 and 0.25 or less.
Mounting system for convertible ducted fan engine
A convertible ducted fan engine and mounting system. The convertible ducted fan engine has a shroud encircling a mechanical fan. The convertible ducted fan engine includes a fluid-propulsion configuration in which the mechanical fan rotates freely with respect to the shroud to produce thrust through fluid flow, and a drive-wheel configuration in which the shroud rotates about the rotational axis. The mounting system includes at least one gimbal ring and may include a circular track system thereby enabling the convertible engine to be oriented in any direction.
Flow control device for axial flow turbomachines in series
A flow control device for constraining fluid flow between axial flow turbomachines in series has a flow constrainer which constrains the fluid flow downstream of the first turbomachine in the series to the blades region of the second turbomachine, preventing fluid flow from impacting the hub or nosecone of the second turbomachine and providing more uniform fluid flow to the second turbomachine. The flow control device includes connective elements for positioning between the downstream region of the first turbomachine and the upstream region of the second turbomachine. The device may be equipped with stator vanes having a variety of optional configurations to further improve the uniformity of the fluid flow load on the second turbomachine.
Diffuser pipe with stiffening rib
A diffuser pipe includes a tubular body defining a pipe center axis extending therethrough. The tubular body includes a first portion extending in a first direction from an inlet of the tubular body, a second portion extending in a second direction transverse to the first direction and terminating at a pipe outlet, and a bend portion fluidly linking the first portion and the second portion. A stiffening rib extends outwardly from an outer surface of the first portion of the tubular body.
PRE-DIFFUSER FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A hot fairing structure for a pre-diffuser includes a ring-strut-ring structure that comprises a multiple of hollow struts and a multiple of inlets to a respective diffusion passage, one of the multiple of inlets formed between each one of the multiple of hollow struts located between two diffusion passages.
BLOWER
An air blower according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a support body through which a suction part is formed; a tower coupling part which is formed above the support body and in which a rotation module is installed; a dual discharge part which is coupled to the rotation module and includes a first discharge tower and a second discharge tower extending upward from the support body to be symmetrical to each other; and a control part which individually controls the rotation of the dual discharge part, wherein the control part can control the rotation angles of the first discharge tower and the second discharge tower so that air discharged from the first discharge tower and air from the second discharge tower is mixed, and the mixed air has an air volume larger than that of the air discharged from any one discharge tower among the first discharge tower and the second discharge tower.
Combination mobile built-in air flow mechanism and LED kill chamber
Disclosed embodiments relate to a combination axial fan and LED lighting system configured to fit into the footprint of a standard ceiling tile. Disclosed embodiments further include ceiling tiles with a built-in fan and/or LED lighting. The disclosed systems may include one or more UV-C light sources which irradiate contaminants as air flows through the UV-C unit. The UV-C unit is mounted on either a universal mounting mechanism or a mobile support unit to provide mobility to the UV-C unit.
Turbine section of high bypass turbofan
A turbofan engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a fan including a circumferential array of fan blades, a compressor in fluid communication with the fan, the compressor including a low pressure compressor section and a high pressure compressor section, the low pressure compressor section including a low pressure compressor section inlet with a low pressure compressor section inlet annulus area, a fan duct including a fan duct annulus area outboard of the a low pressure compressor section inlet, a turbine in fluid communication with the combustor, the turbine having a high pressure turbine section and a low pressure turbine that drives the fan, a speed reduction mechanism coupled to the fan and rotatable by the low pressure turbine section to allow the low pressure turbine section to turn faster than the fan, wherein the low pressure turbine section includes a maximum gas path radius and the fan blades include a maximum radius, and a ratio of the maximum gas path radius to the maximum radius of the fan blades is between 0.50 and 0.55, or is greater than 0.55 and less than or equal to 0.65.
Stator and duct ring structural fittings
A duct for a ducted-rotor aircraft includes a hub, a duct ring, and a plurality of stators that extend outward from the hub. The duct ring defines a trailing edge. The duct includes one or more fittings, such as a system of fittings. Each fitting has a body that defines a first attachment interface that is configured to couple to structure of the duct ring and a second attachment interface that is configured to couple to one of the plurality of stators. The first and second attachment interfaces are spaced from each other such that when the fittings are coupled to the duct ring and the plurality of stators, all or substantially all of each of the plurality of stators are located aft of the trailing edge of the duct ring.
