TURBINE COMPONENT THERMAL BARRIER COATING WITH CRACK ISOLATING, CASCADING, MULTIFURCATED ENGINEERED GROOVE FEATURES
Turbine engine (80) components, such as blades (92), vanes (104, 106), ring segment 110 abradable surfaces 120, or transitions (85), have furcated engineered groove features (EGFs) (403, 404, 418, 509, 511, 512) that cut into the outer surface of the component's thermal barrier coating (TBC). In some embodiments, the EGF planform pattern defines adjoining outer hexagons (560, 640, 670, 690, 710). In some embodiments, the EGF pattern further defines within each outer hexagon (560, 640, 670, 690, 710) a planform pattern of adjoining inner polygons (570, 580, 590, 600, 610, 680, 682, 700, 702, 704, 705, 720). At least three respective groove segments (509, 511, 512) within the EGF pattern (506, 507, 508) converge at each respective outer hexagonal vertex (510, 564) or inner polygonal vertex (574, 564, 604, 614) in a multifurcated pattern, so that crack-inducing stresses are attenuated in cascading fashion, as the stress (σ.sub.A) is furcated (σ.sub.B, σ.sub.C) at each successive vertex juncture.
Vacuum pump
A vacuum pump comprises: a pump main body; a heater provided at the pump main body; a power source device configured to supply power to the pump main body; a cooler provided between the pump main body and the power source device; a connection plate provided between the pump main body and the cooler; a first heat insulating plate arranged between the cooler and the connection plate; and a second heat insulating plate arranged between the pump main body and the connection plate.
Handheld fan
A handheld fan includes a housing, a fan assembly mounted in the housing and close to a rear portion of the housing, a semiconductor chilling plate mounted in the housing and arranged in front of the fan assembly, and a cold conducting piece arranged on a front end of the housing. A front end surface of the semiconductor chilling plate is a cooling surface. The cold conducting piece is attached to the front end surface of the semiconductor chilling plate. An air outlet is defined between the cold conducting piece and the housing.
Magnetic induction furnace, cooler or magnetocaloric fluid heat pump integrated into a rotary blower and including two stage inductive heating or cooling
A multi-stage fluid conditioning system having a housing with a fluid inlet and outlet. A shaft extends within the housing and supports a first fan unit with a first magnet/electromagnet plate on an inlet side of said housing and a second fan unit with a second magnet/electromagnet supporting plate on an outlet side of the housing. Each of the first and second magnet/electromagnet supporting plates include at least one vane configured to direct fluid flow. The shaft rotates the plates in order to draw a fluid flow through the inlet and successively across the inlet and outlet sides for thermal conditioning resulting from creation of high frequency oscillating magnetic fields according to a succeeding conditioning operations before being outputted the conditioned fluid from the housing through the fluid outlet.
