The impeller rotor is configured from or otherwise includes impeller rotor material. The seal land extends axially along and circumferentially about the rotational axis. The seal land is mechanically attached to and rotatable with the impeller rotor. The seal land is configured from or otherwise includes seal land material that is different than the impeller rotor material. The lip seal radially engages the seal land.

Density gas separation appartus for electric submersible pumps

A system includes an electric submersible pump (ESP) configured for pumping fluid through a flow path. An autonomous inflow control device (AICD) is included in fluid communication with the flow path to separate one of gas or liquid out of the flow path. A method includes producing liquid from a wellbore using an electric submersible pump (ESP) in the wellbore. The method includes bypassing gas from a headspace the wellbore using an autonomous inflow control device (AICD) to prevent gas locking the ESP.

Pump assembly and related methods

In one aspect, a pump is provided comprising a motor configured to rotate a shaft that is operably coupled to an impeller. The impeller is housed within a fluid chamber having an inlet and a discharge in fluid communication with the inlet. The fluid chamber further includes an outlet in a top portion thereof for venting air within the fluid chamber when the impeller is rotated by the motor. In other forms, a pump assembly is provided with an internal float switch integrated into the pump housing.

Pump separating gas from liquid

A centrifugal pump separating gases from liquids pumps fluid containing gas comprises a pump housing divided into a working fluid chamber and an empty chamber by a baffle, the empty chamber connected to the working fluid chamber by an opening and connected to a gas separation assembly by a pumping chamber duct; an inlet for drawing liquid into pump, a outlet for pumping liquid outward and a separated gas exhaust port; an electric motor with protective cover drives an impeller cluster to create rotary movement; gas separator has a spring of sufficient hardness to control the gas discharge valve to open and close; this gas separator is connected to the empty chamber by the duct mentioned above and connected to the pump outlet by the bleed hole. During operation, when suction gas reaches a certain amount, reduced pressure at the pump outlet opens the valve to release the gas.

Liquid pump including a gas accumulation area and rankine cycle device including a liquid pump

A liquid pump includes: a casing; a feed pipe bringing liquid from outside the casing to inside the casing; a pump mechanism provided in the casing and including a suction hole for sucking in the liquid and a discharge hole for discharging the liquid sucked in via the suction hole; a suction space positioned in the casing on a suction-hole inlet side and making a flow path formed by the feed pipe and the suction hole communicate with each other; and a discharge space positioned on a discharge-hole outlet side in the casing and communicating with the discharge hole. The suction space includes a gas accumulation area that is positioned above a center of an opening at casing-side end of the feed pipe, when viewed vertically and that accumulates gas brought into the casing through the feed pipe together with the liquid to separate the gas from the liquid.

The pump has a pump body having a pump body portion with a vent hole to allow air entrapped in the pump body to bleed out to atmosphere and allow liquid to fill the pump body in order to get the pump running, and also includes a tab receiving portion having a rim defining an opening; and a pump/strainer assembly that includes a base with slots/openings formed therein to receive and strain liquid to be pumped, and includes a strainer retaining tab with a raised rim to be received in the opening of the tab receiving portion and circumferentially engaged by the rim of the opening to hold together the pump/strainer assembly and the pump body. The at least one tab receiving portion and the strainer retaining tab are dimensioned to conceal the vent hole and substantially prevent the liquid from bleeding through the vent hole and squirting outside of the pump body when the pump is running.

Electric pump assembly with user-accessible wet section

A centrifugal electric pump assembly, comprising a wet section, which comprises inside it a liquid and/or solid scale remover substance in a position that at least potentially communicates with the wet section.

Centrifugal pump

The invention relates to a centrifugal pump for conveying a gaseous suspension, in particular a fiber pulp suspension, which has a pump impeller (12) with at least one opening (15) in the base plate and ribs (16) on the rear side, where a separator unit (17) is provided consisting of a separator housing (25) with a stationary disc (18) and a disc (22) that rotates together with the pump shaft (21), where the separator unit (17) is arranged in the pump housing adjoining the pump impeller (12) on its rear side when viewing the pump impeller (12) in axial direction and where the separator housing (25) has a gas collecting chamber (31) with a gas discharge pipe (28). It is characterized by the disc (22) that rotates together with the pump shaft (21) having a closed surface (23) without openings. As a result, pulp losses are reduced and the centrifugal pump achieves better stability when pumping a gaseous suspension, particularly a fiber pulp suspension.

Internal combustion engine and coolant pump

An engine cylinder block forms a cooling jacket adjacent to a cylinder and that intersects a deck face adapted to mate with a cylinder head. The cooling jacket has an inlet passage intersecting a mounting face adapted to mate with a coolant pump housing. The block forms a vent passage extending from the cooling jacket to the mounting face. The pump housing forms a volute adapted to receive an impeller. The housing forms a discharge passage that fluidly connects to the inlet passage of the block. The pump housing also forms a vent passage the fluidly connects with the vent passage of the block. The vent passages of the block and pump housing are positioned between the deck face of the block and the inlet and discharge passages when the pump housing is connected to the engine block.
