System for treating bio-contaminated wastewater and process for decontaminating a wastewater source
A system and process for decontaminating a bio-contaminated wastewater fluid as from a slaughterhouse or similar facility. The system and process recovers purified vapor/steam through a decontamination unit having a plurality of alternating rotating trays and fixed baffles in a processing vessel producing separate purified and contaminant streams. One or more filter/strainer units are disposed in parallel before the decontamination unit, and may be used alternately while the other is cleaned. A rotating shaft connected to the rotating trays may also connected to an electrical generator to provide electricity for circuits and controls in the system.
Energy capture device and system
A hydroponic container growing system is provided. The growing system provides a closed growing environment providing climate and other growing conditions suitable for year-round plant production. The growing system may include a container having a plurality of subsystems therein. The plurality of subsystems may include a plant production system, an environmental regulation system, an energy capture system, a control system, and a dosage system. The plant production system may include an Ebb and Flow irrigation system and one or more Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) irrigation systems. A single reservoir may supply the Ebb and Flow irrigation system and a NFT irrigation system to provide a dual technique, single nutrient supply source irrigation system for plant production. An energy capture system which utilizes the kinetic energy of flowing liquid to generate electrical energy may be integrated into one or more irrigation systems within the plant production system.
ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM
An energy storage includes a first container including an inner space, a plurality of pressure vessels for compressed air that are stacked in rows inside the inner space of the first container, a tank containing a heat transfer fluid arranged inside the inner space of the first container, a compressor adapted to compress air, and a plurality of pneumatic ducts for compressed air connected to the compressor. The plurality of pneumatic ducts includes a plurality of heat exchangers adapted to enable a heat exchange between compressed air contained in the plurality of pneumatic ducts and heat transfer fluid contained inside the tank. The plurality of pneumatic ducts is connected to the plurality of pressure vessels supplying pressure vessels with compressed air, an electric turbine connected by the plurality of pneumatic ducts with the plurality of pressure vessels supplying compressed air for rotating the electric turbine to generate electric current.
Fluid flow actuated tool
A fluid flow actuated tool including a housing, a tool and an actuating mechanism. The housing includes a housing interior. The housing interior receives a flow of fluid. The actuating mechanism includes a fluid wheel structure. The fluid wheel structure is connected to the tool. At least a portion of the fluid wheel structure is arranged in the flow of fluid for rotating the fluid wheel structure. The tool is actuated based on rotation of the fluid wheel structure.
Vehicle comprising energy harvesting suspension system, and method for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy
A vehicle incorporates a gravity-assist energy harvesting suspension system including one or more gravitational positive displacement pumps. The positive displacement pump has a cylinder and a reciprocating piston inside the cylinder. The piston is adapted for movement along a compression stroke and an opposite extension stroke in response to a gravitational bounce of the vehicle when in motion. A turbine comprising a rotor shaft and attached blades is mounted relative to a distal end of a fluid outlet hose connected to the pump. Fluid discharged through the outlet hose acts on the blades, thereby moving and imparting rotational energy to the rotor shaft. A generator is operatively connected to the turbine, and is adapted for converting the rotational energy generated by the rotor shaft to electrical energy.
TURBINE CURRENT GENERATOR
A turbine current generator includes a hollow bearing cylinder to be engaged inside a pipe or duct for the transit of a fluid, in particular a fluid transit duct deriving from the drilling or exploration of an oil field; a hollow rotating cylinder rotatably and coaxially engaged inside the bearing cylinder and defining a respective transit cylindrical chamber for a fluid. The bearing and rotating cylinders defining at least a cylindrical gap; one or more magnetic or electromagnetic components (6)-operatively engaged to the bearing cylinder and/or to the rotating cylinder to generate at least one electric current during the rotation of the rotating cylinder inside the bearing cylinder; an impeller or impellers arranged in the chamber of the rotating cylinder according to positions aligned along a longitudinal axis of the latter, the impellers engaged inside the rotating cylinder to rotate integrally with the latter upon the action of a fluid.
WASTE AIR FLOW CAPTURE SYSTEM
An apparatus and kit for capturing waste air flow wherein the apparatus comprises a shroud locatable over the waste airflow source, a first fan rotatably mounted within the should and a first electrical generator motor operably connected to and driven by rotation of the first fan, wherein the first fan is rotatable in a first direction by the waste air flow. The kit further comprises a second fan sized to correspond to and replace an existing axial fan.
