A river, tidal, wave or ocean current turbine, a wind turbine or a solar panel harnesses an optimum value of renewable energy from variable water flow or wind flow or from electromagnetic energy from sunlight harnessed by photovoltaic conversion to electricity. A harnessing module comprising a propeller facing, for example, water or wind flow and a generator driven by the propeller, thus may harness variable electric power from water (or wind) renewable energy and may be preferably connected to feedforward electricity source and preferably a feedback variable electrical load to an electrical voltage regulator apparatus of a land module and to a motor generator set or voltage converter by a flexible electrical cable for receiving a variable rotational speed converted to variable electrical frequency, the voltage regulator automatically providing a predetermined minimum electrical power/voltage output at constant frequency to the motor generator set or a voltage converter and output at constant frequency to a constantly varying grid load. The variable electrical input from harnessing modules is delivered to the voltage regulator and converted to a constant electrical frequency by the motor generator set. In alternative embodiments, the voltage regulator is replaced by a voltage regulator in series with a servo motor and a variable voltage transformer and, in a third embodiment, the voltage regulator is replaced by a power converter.
Methods and water reservoir systems for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy
A water reservoir system for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy comprises a reservoir wall built in a shallow body of water such as a sea or an ocean with a height exceeding the outside water level by about 10-25 m, thereby defining an interior of the water reservoir. Excess electrical energy from other renewable sources of electricity such as wind, solar power, or supplied by a local power grid is used to operate water pumps to fill the interior of the water reservoir with water during times of peak supply of electricity. Water is drained from the water reservoir to the outside body of water and generates electrical energy by flowing over a plurality of water turbines, thereby generating electricity and supplementing electrical power for the local power grid during times of high demand. Additional interior sources of renewable energy may be used to supplement external sources of electrical power in operating the system of the invention.
REACTIVE, REVERSIBLE BLADE TURBINE FOR POWER GENERATION AND PUMPING WATER
A reactive blade turbine system works vertically, horizontally, or at an angle and clockwise or counterclockwise according to blade angle and locking position and adjusts to variations in fluid flow such as changes in tidal currents to generate power more efficiently regardless of direction of fluid flow.
DEVICE FOR CONVERSION OF WAVE ENERGY INTO ELECTRICAL ENERGY
The device for conversion of wave energy into electrical energy consists of a supporting structure, the first working body, an anchor and anchor cables. The supporting structure is connected to the anchors by anchor cables, while the first working body is slidably connected to the supporting structure. The motion transformation system is firmly connected to the supporting structure and comprises rigid gears toothed with gears with rolls on one side while on the other side they are hinged to the first working body, on the other side of the gears with the rolls, rigid gears are connected at one end, while their other end is hinged to other working body. The gears with rolls are connected by shafts with a multiplier that drives the generator that further produces electricity. The device constructed in this way has the possibility of transport to the place of exploitation, because it floats stably on its own. The anchor system is transported to the place of exploitation using a transport body that also has the ability to float on its own and to submerge.
Circular dam and methods for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy
A circular dam for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy comprises a wall defining a water reservoir built in an abundant body of water such as a sea or an ocean. Water inside the water reservoir is kept at a water level below the water level outside the wall so as to create a water level difference sufficient to operate one or more water turbines positioned across the wall of the water reservoir. Excess electrical energy from other renewable sources of electricity such as wind, solar power, or supplied by a local power grid is used to operate water turbines as water pumps to lower the water level inside the reservoir during times of peak supply of electricity. Water is drained from outside the wall back into the water reservoir to generate electrical energy by flowing over a plurality of water turbines. Generated electricity supplements electrical power for the local power grid during times of high demand.
