UNDERGROUND HYDROELECTRIC POWER AND DESALINATION
A hydroelectric power generation system includes at least one penstock extending through the sea floor a predetermined depth into the ground below the sea floor, a turbine connected to an underground distal end of each of the at least one penstock, and an underground reservoir to collect seawater flowing down through the at least one penstock and the connected turbine. The hydroelectric power generation system may be part of a distributed hydroelectric power generation system which includes a plurality of hydroelectric power generation systems, the distributed hydroelectric power generation system additionally including an underground reservoir to collect seawater flowing down through all of the penstocks and connected turbines in the plurality of hydroelectric power systems.
Power barn system
The power barn system provides a way to eliminate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from livestock. The power barn system seals and traps the methane gas that is emitted from the livestock and converts the methane into electric power and carbon dioxide to enhance plant growth. The power barn system uses PV solar arrays and plastic sheeting to make sealed, airtight structures. The carbon dioxide is provided to one or more sealed greenhouse areas. The plants use the carbon dioxide and release oxygen, thereby completely eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from livestock. The power plant uses the methane at peak times at night while solar panels supply power during the day producing zero emission and 24/7 electricity at better than market rates.
Methods and water reservoir systems for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy
A water reservoir system for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy comprises a reservoir wall built in a shallow body of water such as a sea or an ocean with a height exceeding the outside water level by about 10-25 m, thereby defining an interior of the water reservoir. Excess electrical energy from other renewable sources of electricity such as wind, solar power, or supplied by a local power grid is used to operate water pumps to fill the interior of the water reservoir with water during times of peak supply of electricity. Water is drained from the water reservoir to the outside body of water and generates electrical energy by flowing over a plurality of water turbines, thereby generating electricity and supplementing electrical power for the local power grid during times of high demand. Additional interior sources of renewable energy may be used to supplement external sources of electrical power in operating the system of the invention.
DEFORMABLE MODEL FOR PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC-WIND HYBRID SYSTEM
An apparatus includes a rotating pole, a first set of photovoltaic modules; and a second set of photovoltaic modules. At least one of the first set of photovoltaic modules is perpendicular to at least one of the second set of photovoltaic modules.
Power generator system with modular blades
Power generation systems comprising modular blades and a secondary power source, and methods of manufacturing the same employing additive manufacturing. Various features of the system are described, including a rotor, spoke and support base. A slip gear assembly is described to coordinate the wiring of the secondary power sources.
REACTIVE, REVERSIBLE BLADE TURBINE FOR POWER GENERATION AND PUMPING WATER
A reactive blade turbine system works vertically, horizontally, or at an angle and clockwise or counterclockwise according to blade angle and locking position and adjusts to variations in fluid flow such as changes in tidal currents to generate power more efficiently regardless of direction of fluid flow.
SOLAR PANELLED WINDMILL ASSEMBLY
The present invention envisages a solar paneled windmill assembly(100). The windmill assembly comprises a plurality of solar panels(120), a tower(105), a tilting mechanism, a nacelle(110), a plurality of rotary blades(115) and a plurality of sensors. The plurality of solar panels(120) is configured to convert solar energy into electrical energy. The tower(105) having a plurality of facets is configured to facilitate mounting of the plurality of solar panels(120). The tilting mechanism is coupled to a top portion of the tower(105) and is configured to tilt a nacelle(110), mounted on the tilting mechanism, along a vertical axis of the tower(105). The plurality of rotary blades(115) is coupled to the nacelle(110). A control unit is disposed within the nacelle(110) and is configured to actuate the tilting mechanism. A generation unit disposed within the nacelle(110), is configured to convert wind induced rotational motion of the rotary blades(115) into the electrical energy.
Renewable Power Generation System for Vehicles
The present invention relates to an electric power generating system for vehicles. The system includes at least one wind turbine positioned to capture incoming air which is coupled to a wind generator for converting into electric power. The system has solar panels installed on the exterior surface of the vehicle such as trailer of a semi-truck for absorbing solar energy and converting into electric power. The electric power produced by the wind generator and the solar panels is stored in a battery pack for providing electric power to the electric battery of the vehicle. An emergency generator provides electric power to the vehicle when the power of both the electric battery and the battery pack is insufficient. The system slows down the depletion of battery charge, thus enabling the vehicle to stay on the road for a longer duration and improves overall charging experiences for the electric vehicle.
Modular multi-axial rotor
A modular, electricity generating apparatus comprises an elongate, central member comprising a first end and a second end; at least one foil disposed about the central member in fluid interacting relation thereto; the solar foil comprising an outer surface having photovoltaic properties; the first end and the second end dimensioned and configured to be connected to a connecting node; and, the elongate central member at least partially formed of an electrically conductive material and configured to conduct electricity from at least one of the connecting nodes to the other of the connecting nodes.
Power generation device
The present application discloses a power generation device so as to solve the generator set overspeed problem. The power generation device comprises: a stand column; and at least one generator set located on the stand column. The generator set comprises a support, blades connected to the support, and a power generator generating power by means of rotation of the blades, and an adjustment device located on the support and used for adjusting a windage area of the blades by moving or rotating the blade according to a wind speed. The wind power generation device may reduce an effective windage area to zero when the wind force is too high, thereby improving stability and applicability in a changeable environment and prolonging the service life of the apparatus.
