AIR CIRCULATOR WITH VEIN CONTROL SYSTEM
The present invention is related in general to air circulators, and in particular, to an air circulator with a vein control system to direct and adjust airflow patterns. According to an exemplary embodiment, the present invention provides adjustable, vertical veins that are attached to the outlet of a tower fan. According to a preferred embodiment, the veins are pivotally mounted in such a way that by turning a knob, the veins can either he directed into a focused air-flow pattern or adjusted to a divergent air-flow pattern, or at any setting in between.
HIGH EFFICIENCY TURBINE IMPELLER
A high performance hybrid turbine is provided which has an impeller towards which a fluid flow of water, air, or other fluid is conveyed for rotation of the impeller around an axis of rotation. The impeller exploits the thrusts that the fluid flow exerts on the elements constituting the impeller and the thrusts generated by a certain number of airfoils provided inside the elements of the impeller. The high performance hybrid turbine, if used as a wind turbine, can operate at much higher wind speeds than conventional wind turbines.
INJECTOR FOR A HIGH-PRESSURE TURBINE
The present invention relates to a turbine injector comprising an annular ring extending around a longitudinal axis and having a radially outer edge and a radially inner edge. The crown has a plurality of channels for fluidly connecting the radially outer edge to the radially inner edge, each channel extending in a radial plane of the ring and having an inlet opening near the outer edge and an outlet opening near the radially inner edge, the orientation of each channel varying progressively according to a tangential component between the inlet section of the inlet opening and the outlet section of the outlet opening.
Fluid pump and outlet check valve assembly thereof
A fluid pump includes a housing; an inlet passage; an outlet conduit; a pumping element within the housing; and a check valve assembly. The check valve assembly includes a valve stem within the outlet conduit such that a flow path is created radially between the outlet conduit and the valve stem, the valve stem moving along a check valve assembly axis between a closed position and an open position. The flow path includes a first restriction which increases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; a first expansion, downstream of the first restriction, which decreases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; a second restriction, downstream of the first expansion, which increases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; and a second expansion, downstream of the second restriction, which decreases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path.

Web foot for a shear web
A shear web foot for a wind turbine blade is described. The shear web foot extends longitudinally and comprises a base for attaching to an internal surface of the blade and first and second side walls. The side walls extend respectively from opposite longitudinal sides of the base. At least part of each side wall is inclined relative to the base and inclined towards the other side wall. A web-foot interior is defined at least in part by the base and the first and second side walls. One or more internal walls are located in the web-foot interior. The one or more internal walls extend between the base and the first and/or second side walls and are spaced apart from the first and second side walls to define a plurality of chambers within the web-foot interior.
Air circulator with vane control system
An air circulator with a vane control system to direct and adjust airflow patterns. According to an exemplary embodiment, the present invention provides adjustable, vertical vanes that are attached to the outlet of a tower fan. According to a preferred embodiment, the vanes are pivotally mounted in such a way that by turning a knob, the vanes can either be directed into a focused air-flow pattern or adjusted to a divergent air-flow pattern, or at any setting in between.

TRAILING EDGE NOISE REDUCTION USING AN AIRFOIL WITH AN INTERNAL BYPASS CHANNEL
An airfoil includes a first end opposite a second end in a spanwise direction. A leading edge extends in the spanwise direction from the first end to the second end and a trailing edge extends in the spanwise direction from the first end to the second end and aft of the leading edge in a chordwise direction. A suction surface extends from the leading edge to the trailing edge and a pressure surface extends from the leading edge to the trailing edge. The airfoil further includes at least one channel with an inlet on a surface of the leading edge and an outlet aft of the leading edge.
