HINGE SYSTEM FOR AN ARTICULATED WAVE ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM
A hinge system and method for an Articulated Wave Energy Conversion System (AWECS) that provides for hinge and piston pump displacements due to multi-axis forces in allowing adjacent barges of the AWECS to pivot with respect to one another due to wave motion. The hinge system uses a plurality of parallel hinges, and axle segments, coupled between adjacent barges wherein the hinges are coupled to upright trusses positioned transversely along facing edges of each barge. Hinge bracing includes lower V-shaped struts that act as lower stops when the barges pitch up and also include upper struts that act as upper stops when the barges pitch down. The pumps are positioned in parallel. The pumps have special couplings such as ball joint couplings that permit motions other than longitudinal pump/ram motions due to multi-axis forces generated by the wave motion and thus provide omni-directional stress relief to the pumps.

The system includes a wave energy mechanical interface, a power take off coupled with the wave energy mechanical interface, and a generator coupled with the power take off. A controller is coupled with the power take off. The controller is configured to regulate impedance of energy transferred from the power take off to the generator.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION AND HARNESSING OF MARINE HYDROKINETIC ENERGY
An example system comprises an enclosure configured to be submerged in a body of water. The system also comprises a capture device coupled to the enclosure. The capture device includes a rotor shaft and a plurality of blades coupled to the rotor shaft. The plurality of blades are arranged to receive a flow of water when the enclosure is submerged in the body of water. The flow of water causes the plurality of blades to rotate the rotor shaft. The system also comprises a transfer device extending lengthwise from a first end to a second end of the transfer device. The transfer device is mechanically coupled to the capture device at the first end and configured to transfer a torque of the rotating rotor shaft from the first end to the second end. The second end is located outside the enclosure.
WIND POWER GENERATOR
A wind power generator is disclosed. The wind power generator includes a wind rotor, a fluid coupling, and a rotary electric machine. The wind rotor is disposed to be rotatable. The fluid coupling includes an impeller receiving a torque inputted thereto from the wind rotor, and a turbine receiving the torque transmitted thereto from the impeller through a hydraulic fluid. The rotary electric machine is configured to generate electricity by the torque transmitted thereto from the turbine.
Hydraulic power generating system
A hydraulic power generating system includes a hydraulic motor, a bidirectional generator connected to the hydraulic motor, a hydraulic cylinder, first and second tubes, a piston structure having a piston and first and second links, and a power driving device connected to the first link. The piston divides the hydraulic cylinder into first and second chambers. The first and second links are connected to the piston and disposed through the first and second chambers, respectively. The first tube is communicated with the first chamber and the hydraulic motor. The second tube is communicated with the second chamber and the hydraulic motor. When the power driving device drives the piston toward the first chamber, hydraulic oil is pumped to the hydraulic motor for rotating the bidirectional generator. When the power driving device drives the piston toward the second chamber, the hydraulic oil is pumped to rotate the bidirectional generator reversely.
Wind and solar systems generating three phase electrical energy
The disclosed technology provides a system and methods for transforming kinetic energy from wind and solar energy from sunlight into three phase electrical energy for local use and available to supply to electrical grids. The system includes a solar panel system and a wind system, which through a gearbox translates kinetic energy from the wind into hydraulic energy in a hydraulic circuit. One or more generators are coupled with the hydraulic circuit to translate the hydraulic energy into three phase electrical energy. In embodiments, a pump motor runs off of a rechargeable battery to supply hydraulic energy to one of the generators when the wind is insufficient to provide sufficient hydraulic energy to the generator. The rechargeable battery may be recharged by diverting energy from, for example, the solar panel system.
Power generation device
The present application discloses a power generation device so as to solve the generator set overspeed problem. The power generation device comprises: a stand column; and at least one generator set located on the stand column. The generator set comprises a support, blades connected to the support, and a power generator generating power by means of rotation of the blades, and an adjustment device located on the support and used for adjusting a windage area of the blades by moving or rotating the blade according to a wind speed. The wind power generation device may reduce an effective windage area to zero when the wind force is too high, thereby improving stability and applicability in a changeable environment and prolonging the service life of the apparatus.
