The pitch energy module replaces at least one battery within a battery housing of a wind turbine and interfaces with the existing battery wiring harness to communicate with a control system of the wind turbine. The pitch energy module is installed without further modification to the battery housing or the battery wiring harness.
REGENERATIVE ENERGY SYSTEM USING DIRECT KINETIC ENERGY TRANSFER TO A GENERATOR
The present invention is a system and method for recovering the kinetic energy created by movement of a vehicle frame relative to a vehicle suspension to generate electrical energy that may be utilized on-the-fly or stored in order to provide power to an electric vehicle, wherein an embodiment for a regenerative energy system uses a plurality of gear assemblies to convert linear up-and-down movement of the vehicle to rotary motion that is then amplified in rotational speed by a gear reduction system to cause rotational movement of a shaft of one or more generators in a single rotational direction to thereby generate electricity that may be utilized directly by electrical motors or stored in batteries or supercapacitors.
KITE DRIVEN WATERCRAFT POWER GENERATING SYSTEM
A kite driven watercraft power generating system which includes at least one operative location defined on the watercraft, at least one inoperative location defined on the watercraft, a plurality of kite base stations mounted displaceably about the watercraft and, an orientation subsystem for displacing each of the plurality of kite base stations between the at least one operative, and, the at least one inoperative locations, respectively, wherein each of the plurality of kite base stations is further configured to orientate its respective kite in a wind harvesting and energy generating mode when located in the at least one operative location, and, in a kite retraction mode, when located in the at least one inoperative location.
WIND TURBINE AND WIND POWER STATION BASED THEREON
Proposed is a wind turbine having a vertical axis rotor mounted in a fixed cylindrical housing provided with outwardly opening shutters. The rotor consists of a rotating core comprising core blades fastened between two circular bases and forming a Ugrinsky rotor, and an annular impeller configured for independent rotation about said core. The impeller comprises impeller blades fastened between two ring-shaped bases and forming a continuation of the core blades, wherein common inter-blade channels are formed which narrow toward the centre of the rotor. Also proposed are wind power stations based on the wind turbines described above, said turbines being mounted vertically one above the other to form a generating tower, or being mounted on a facade of a high-rise building. Technical result consists, in particular, in increasing the efficiency of the wind turbine and making it possible to incorporate wind power stations into an urban environment.
Wind and solar systems generating three phase electrical energy
The disclosed technology provides a system and methods for transforming kinetic energy from wind and solar energy from sunlight into three phase electrical energy for local use and available to supply to electrical grids. The system includes a solar panel system and a wind system, which through a gearbox translates kinetic energy from the wind into hydraulic energy in a hydraulic circuit. One or more generators are coupled with the hydraulic circuit to translate the hydraulic energy into three phase electrical energy. In embodiments, a pump motor runs off of a rechargeable battery to supply hydraulic energy to one of the generators when the wind is insufficient to provide sufficient hydraulic energy to the generator. The rechargeable battery may be recharged by diverting energy from, for example, the solar panel system.
Method for Constructing a Pumped Storage Power Plant in a Ground Depression, in Particular in an Open-Cast Mine
The energy transition involves the electrical power supply being almost completely covered by renewable energy sources such as solar plants or wind turbines. However, due to their naturally fluctuating output, these energy sources require the use of large energy storage systems, the realization of which still represents a major problem today. The present invention provides a solution which aims to secure the entire short-term storage capacity needed for the energy transition in Germany (and even Europe). For this purpose, in particular, the invention proposes the construction of a large-scale pumped-storage power plant in the Hambach open-pit mine, as a result of which the can mine be put to subsequent use in a sustainable way. The invention also relates to the construction and partial commissioning of the plant in parallel with the use that is being phased out, in particular that of lignite mining (by 2038). This is to avoid the loss of a significant number of existing jobs. After construction, it is not uncommon for lifetimes of over 100 or even over 1,000 years to be possible, which means that a particular level of sustainability can be ensured.
