BLADE PROTECTION MEMBER, AND WIND TURBINE BLADE AND WIND TURBINE USING SAME
A blade protection member includes an adhesive layer, an opaque flexible layer and a porous vortex-suppressing layer. The opaque flexible layer covers the adhesive layer. The porous vortex-suppressing layer covers the opaque flexible layer, is exposed, and has a porous structure for passage of airflow and absorption of airflow. The blade protection member reinforces the trailing edge of the wind turbine blade, absorbs and eliminates vortex, reduces wake turbulence strength, and reduces aerodynamic noise during operation. A wind turbine blade and a wind turbine which have the blade protection member each are further introduced.
POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP HAVING FLOW-PROMOTING SURFACES
The present invention relates to a positive displacement pump having a delivery chamber, which is connected to a discharge connection and a suction connection, characterized in that the surface of the delivery chamber is configured in the form of an at least partially microstructured surface. The at least partially microstructured surface has a multiplicity of ribs and channels located therebetween, these running in a direction along the direction of flow of the delivery medium. As a result of the surface being structured, the situation where gas bubbles stick is reliably prevented and the harmful gas volume is considerably reduced.
Panel for lining a gas turbine engine fan casing
A panel for lining a gas turbine engine fan casing includes a honeycomb core sandwiched between a backing skin and an outer skin. The backing skin is attached to an inner surface of the casing such that the outer skin forms a radially inward facing surface of a fan duct of the engine. The panel is joined along its sides to similar neighbouring panels such that, in use, the joined panels form a row of panels along the inner surface of the casing. The outer skin or the backing skin includes two face sheets bonded on top of each other, which are arranged such that their edges along each panel side that joins to a neighbouring panel are staggered in the direction of the row. The interfaces between the abutting face sheet edges are therefore correspondingly staggered in the direction of the row.
Access panel for a wind turbine tower and method for securing same
A wind turbine tower access panel is disclosed and is removably fixable at a service aperture in a tower wall to thereby close the aperture. The access panel is generally planar and extends radially about an axis normal thereto. Additionally, the access panel includes a set of two or more fixing elements configured to securely fix the access panel in place at the aperture. Each fixing element includes an axial clamp, the clamp including an anchor fixed to the access panel, a clamping force adjuster and a clamp head having a clamping surface. The clamp head includes a relatively deformable resilient material which deforms under an applied clamping load of the clamp thereby applying a clamping force to the tower wall.
Robust triboelectric nanogenerator based on rolling electrification
A generator for converting mechanical energy or hydropower or wind energy into electrical energy is disclosed. The generator includes a first member and a second member in contact with the first member to generate triboelectric charges. The second member rolls against the first member to generate a flow of electrons between two electrodes. Another embodiment of the generator includes two electrodes, and a member in contact with the two electrodes to generate triboelectric charges. The member rolls against the electrodes to generate a flow of electrons between the two electrodes.
Wind turbine gearbox lubrication system
A wind-turbine gearbox system includes an input gear stage having mating gear surfaces finished to a surface roughness of less than 0.25 micron and at least one bearing supporting the input gear stage. A lubrication circuit is arranged to deliver lubricant to the input gear stage and the bearing during operation of the wind-turbine and includes an inline filter for removal of particles of less than 2 micron from the lubricant prior to delivery. A lubricant for use in the system may have a relatively low viscosity compared to conventional wind turbine gearbox lubricants.
Max phase reinforced polymer matrix composite abradables with enhanced thermal conductivity
A turbine engine system comprising a turbine engine component, such as a fan includes a fan casing and a fan blade rotatable within the fan casing. An abradable seal coupled to the fan casing proximate the fan blade. The abradable seal comprising an abradable composite layer including a MAX phase solid and a polymer based abradable composition.
ACCESS PANEL FOR A WIND TURBINE TOWER AND METHOD FOR SECURING SAME
The invention relates to a wind turbine tower access panel, which panel is removably fixable at a service aperture in a tower wall to thereby close said aperture; said access panel being generally planar and extending radially about an axis normal thereto, said access panel comprising a set of two or more fixing elements configured to securely fix said access panel in place at a said aperture; wherein each said fixing element comprises an axial clamp, said clamp comprising an anchor fixed to said access panel, a clamping force adjuster and a clamp head having a clamping surface; said clamp head comprising a relatively deformable resilient material which deforms under an applied clamping load of said clamp thereby applying a clamping force to said tower wall.
