A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage device, a vehicle body, an electric power take-off system, and a hydraulic component. The energy storage device is supported by the chassis and is configured to provide electrical power to a prime mover. Activation of the prime mover selectively drives the refuse vehicle. The vehicle body is supported by the chassis, and includes an on-board receptacle for storing refuse therein. The electric power take-off system is positioned on the vehicle body, and includes an electric motor configured to drive a hydraulic pump to convert electrical power received from the energy storage device into hydraulic power. An amount of electrical power at least one of received by and provided to the electric motor is limited by a controller to control an output characteristic of the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic component is in fluid communication with the hydraulic pump and configured to operate using hydraulic power from the electric power take-off system.
Hydraulic control system and method
A closed-loop hydraulic circuit associated with a swing mechanism of a machine is controlled to obtain both a pressure control during acceleration and deceleration of the swing mechanism and a velocity control during coasting. In this manner, a system pressure in closed-loop hydraulic circuit is maintained below a maximum allowable pressure during acceleration and deceleration, and the swing mechanism can be rotated at a desired constant speed during coasting. This is achieved by controlling a hydraulic actuator adjusting the displacement of a variable displacement pump in different control modes, depending on a comparison between a desired displacement of the pump and an actual displacement of the same.

Method for operating a hydraulic device with pump and servomotor, and associated hydraulic device
In a method for operating a hydraulic device for providing a supply to hydraulic consumers (V) on a plastics injection moulding machine, provision is made of a pump (10) with a volumetric delivery characteristic that results in cyclic pulsations and of a servomotor (11) with multiple poles that result in cyclic pulsations. The pressure at the hydraulic consumer (V) is detected and is input as an actual value into a pressure regulator (13) that readjusts the servomotor (11), on the basis of a predefined pressure profile, to a pressure setpoint value at the hydraulic consumer (V). The cyclic pressure pulsation is minimized in that, by means of a rotational angle sensor (20), the rotational angle (φ) of the pump (10) and/or of the servomotor (11) is detected and correlated with the cyclic pulsations, and in that, from this, a corrective value or a corrective function is determined and is transmitted to the pressure regulator (13) with control subordinate to the regulation of the pressure setpoint value. Alternatively or in addition, this is achieved in the case of a hydraulic device also in that, as corrective means for the pressure regulation, said means being subordinate to the consideration of the pulsations, the number of components of the pump (10) that result in the cyclic pulsations and the number of components of the servomotor (11) that generate cyclic pulsations are equal, or one is a multiple of the other.
Refuse vehicle control systems and methods
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis and a vehicle body. A variable displacement pump is positioned within the vehicle body and is configured to pump hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic fluid reservoir into a high pressure line of a hydraulic circuit. A lifting system on the vehicle includes at least one actuator in fluid communication with the variable displacement pump, which delivers pressurized hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic fluid reservoir to the actuator through the high pressure line to adjust a position of the actuator. A valve is positioned downstream of the variable displacement pump. In a first valve position, the valve restricts flow outward from the high pressure line. In a second valve position, the valve directs fluid from the high pressure line into a lower pressure line to reduce a hydraulic pressure within the high pressure line and adjust an output parameter of the variable displacement pump.
APPARATUS WITH HYDRAULIC MACHINE CONTROLLER
A prime mover and hydraulic actuators, a hydraulic machine having a rotatable shaft engaged with the prime mover and having a plurality of working chambers, a hydraulic circuit extending between a group of working chambers of the hydraulic machine and the hydraulic actuators, each working chamber of the hydraulic machine having a low-pressure and a high-pressure valve regulating the flow of hydraulic fluid between the working chamber and a corresponding low-pressure manifold and a high-pressure manifold. The hydraulic machine controlling the low-pressure valves of the group of working chambers to select the net displacement of hydraulic fluid by each working chamber on each cycle of working chamber volume, and thereby the net displacement of hydraulic fluid by the group of working chambers, responsive to a demand signal, the apparatus further having a controller calculating the demand signal responsive to a measured property of the hydraulic circuit or an actuator.
APPARATUS WITH HYDRAULIC MACHINE CONTROLLER
A prime mover and a plurality of hydraulic actuators, a hydraulic machine having a rotatable shaft in driven engagement with the prime mover and comprising a plurality of working chambers, a hydraulic circuit extending between a group of one or more working chambers of the hydraulic machine and one or more of the hydraulic actuators, each working chamber of the hydraulic machine comprising a low-pressure valve which regulates the flow of hydraulic fluid between the working chamber and a low-pressure manifold and a high-pressure valve which regulates the flow of hydraulic fluid between the working chamber and a high-pressure manifold. The hydraulic machine being configured to actively control at least the low-pressure valves of the group of one or more working chambers to select the net displacement of hydraulic fluid by each working chamber on each cycle of working chamber volume, and thereby the net displacement of hydraulic fluid by the group of one or more working chambers, responsive to a demand signal, wherein the apparatus further comprises a controller configured to calculate the demand signal in response to a measured property of the hydraulic circuit or one or more actuators.
Apparatus with hydraulic machine controller

Device for varying the volumes of a first hydraulic machine and a second hydraulic machine
A device for varying the swept volumes of first and second hydraulic machines, whose swept volumes depends upon pivoting positions of adjustable axes thereof which can be connected to one another by first and second lines. The axes can be coupled to a piston-cylinder device which is adjustable by a control valve unit for pivoting the axes. Pressures in the area of the hydraulic machines can be limited by the control valve unit. The control valve unit can be coupled to a respective first or second line with the highest pressure. A device for determining an existing actual pressure is located upstream of the control valve unit, at least in the area of one of the first and the second lines that connects with the first and the second hydraulic machines. The control valve unit can be actuated based on the actual pressure value determined by the device.
REFUSE VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis and a vehicle body.
