Fluid Device for Suction Gripping
The invention relates to a fluid flow device comprising a plurality of fluid flow functional modules each fastened on a respective individual base comprising: two parallel lateral faces via which the bases are adapted to be placed against one another in such a manner that when the bases are placed against one another, two of the bases each have one lateral face that is free; a primary fluid transport channel passing through the base to open out in its two lateral faces in identical positions; and a front face along which the module extends so as to couple an inlet channel of said module with a secondary channel extending in the base from the front face and opening out in the primary channel.
According to the invention, the device includes fastener means for fastening the bases to one another and leaktight coupling means for coupling the end of the primary channel opening out in one of the lateral faces to a source of fluid under pressure for feeding the modules.
AUTOMATIC FLUID PUMP INLET STABILIZERS AND VACUUM REGULATORS
A fluid pump inlet stabilizer dampener includes a deformable diaphragm separating an enclosure into a gas chamber and a liquid chamber; and a piston coupled to the deformable diaphragm and being movable with respect to a valve housing, wherein the piston is configured to be positioned in at least first, second, and third positions, wherein in the first position a first fluid flow path from a pressurized gas inlet port to the gas chamber is open, in the second position the first fluid flow path is closed, and in the third position the first fluid flow path is closed and a second fluid flow path that activates a venturi vacuum generator is open.
Programmable multi-scale fluidic artificial muscles and pistons
An artificial muscle system includes a collapsible skeleton, a flexible skin, and a muscle actuation mechanism. The collapsible skeleton is contained inside a volume defined, at least in part, by the flexible skin. The flexible skin and the collapsible skeleton are configured for the flexible skin to provide a pulling force on the collapsible skeleton when a pressure difference exists between the inside of the sealed volume and a surrounding environment to change at least one of the dimensions and thus geometry of the collapsible skeleton. The muscle actuation mechanism includes at least one of the following to deploy or contract the collapsible skeleton: (a) a fluid displacing, releasing, or capturing mechanism configured to increase or decrease fluid pressure inside the sealed volume; and (b) a heating or cooling element configured to change the temperature of fluid in the sealed volume.
FOUR-POSITION SWITCHING VALVE
A four-position switching valve includes first and second pistons for driving a spool in a valve body, and a spool moving mechanism part that moves the spool to first and second intermediate switching positions between one-end side and the other-end-side switching positions. The spool moving mechanism part includes a compression spring that moves the spool back in the opposite direction by moving to the switching position on one end side and the other end side of the spool. The compression spring moves the spool to the first intermediate switching position when the spool moves to one-end-side switching position and the pressure on the second piston is released, and moves the spool to the second intermediate switching position when the spool moves to the other-end-side switching position and the pressure on the first piston is released.
