Flow conditioning assembly

A flow conditioning assembly comprising an integral elbow flow conditioner and a downstream flow conditioner. The elbow flow conditioner includes a pipe elbow with one or more flow conditioning elements. Each flow conditioning element includes one or more turning guides. Each turning guide is generally circular and radially spaced from one another and an inner surface of the elbow. Spaced vanes maintain the radial spacing of the turning guides. The vanes divide the radial space between the turning guides and pipe elbow into a plurality of flow channels that turn in generally the same direction as the inner surface of the pipe elbow. The downstream flow conditioner comprises a flow conditioning structure within a pipe element. The flow conditioning structure includes one or more flow guides of generally circular form radially spaced from one another and the pipe element. Spaced support vanes maintain the radial spacing of the flow guides.

An orifice module for a flow switch system has a cylindrical body which is symmetric about a central axis which defines a metering orifice. An axial central hub holds the stem. The hub connects to the cylindrical body by at least three support spokes which forms a plurality of flow channels angularly disposed about the central axis. The module interacts with the flow switch to enhance the function of the flow switch and also reduces turbulence in the fluid flow system.

The homogenization unit homogenizes the flow of fluid through the fluid-guiding unit. An inner profile of the fluid-guiding unit and an outer profile of the homogenization unit together form a mechanical coding, which determines a defined rotation position of the homogenization unit in relation to the fluid-guiding unit.

An example orifice plate is configured to be positioned in a conduit and comprises a plurality of holes that extend therethrough. The plurality of holes are arranged to form one or more spiral layouts configured to regulate a fluid flow passing therethrough. Each spiral layout is a logarithmic spiral. In some implementations, each spiral layout has a growth factor of substantially 1.618 for each quarter turn. In some implementations, each hole in an orifice plate has a contoured conical shape extending between an inlet and an outlet, the inlet is larger in diameter than the outlet.

A flow modifying device comprises an outer shell, a central tube within an interior space of the outer shell, and a plurality of helix vanes within the interior space. The central tube extends along at least a portion of a length of the outer shell. Each of the helix vanes extend along the outer shell and along the central tube. An outer edge portion of each of the helix vanes is attached to the outer shell and an inner edge portion of each of the helix vanes is located within a central passage of the central tube. In this manner, a first portion of each of the helix vanes extends between the outer shell and the central tube and a second portion of each of the helix vanes is located within the central passage of the central tube.

The invention provides a gas flow metering gas chamber and a gas flow meter. The gas flow meter includes the gas flow metering gas chamber, a display device and a housing. The gas flow meter gas cell includes a cavity, a gas inlet, a gas outlet, two ultrasonic transducer mounting holes and a reflection device. The signal emitted by the first ultrasonic transducer installed in the first ultrasonic transducer mounting hole and the signal emitted by the second ultrasonic transducer installed in the second ultrasonic transducer mounting hole intersects with each other to form an L-shaped reflection passage. Compared with V-shaped, W-shaped, and N-shaped reflection structures, the effective distance between the two ultrasonic transducers of the present invention more is increased, the cross section of the cavity is reduced, and the rate of the gas flow is increased, which avoids contamination contained in the measured gas to contaminate the ultrasonic transducers and thereby improves the measurement accuracy.
