In implementations of a pressure lock retention fastener, the fastener assembly includes an insert sized for insertion into a fastener hole in a first panel. The fastener assembly has a threaded collet sized to slide in the insert and has expandable flanges that extend below the insert. The expandable flanges are sized for insertion into an aligned hole in a second panel. The fastener assembly also includes a screw installable through the insert to engage the threaded collet. The screw exerts a force that pushes the expandable flanges outward as screw rotation drives the screw into the threaded collet, and ridge locks of the expandable flanges seat up against the second panel effective to fasten the panels together. In implementations, a plate is installable between the panels with slotted holes having anti-rotation tabs that prevent a fastener assembly from spinning in the panel holes.

PLASTIC ANCHOR FOR DRYWALL, PLASTER, BRICK AND CONCRETE

An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener. The proximal section comprises a pair of legs each having a toothed rack for engaging the structural material.

Fixed Engagement Anchor

A novel plastic anchor design allows for the use of a wide range of thread-cutting screw lengths without exceeding the recommended engagement length. In accordance with the principles disclosed herein, an anchor comprises an engagement area and a relief chamber. The anchor is configured to be secured into a surrounding material. The engagement area is configured to engage with a screw to secure the screw when fastening an object in place. The relief chamber receives any excess length of the screw that extends beyond the engagement area. This allows the length of engagement between the screw and the anchor to be controlled for various lengths of screws or thicknesses of objects to be fastened.

FASTENER SYSTEM

A fastener is provided. The fastener includes a housing with a housing opening and a collet body at least partially enclosed within the housing, the collet body includes a crown having a crown opening with a threaded section and a leg that extends from the crown and including a foot. The fastener further includes a screw with a head positioned in the housing opening, an upper threaded section, and a lower unthreaded section, where the housing opening and the crown include a set of splined protrusions and a set of splined recesses mated with one another, where the sets of splined protrusions and recesses include ramps and are designed to permit the collet body and the screw to transition into a free-spin configuration, and where a spring is designed to exert a return force on the collet body or the screw when the fastener is in the free-spin configuration.

Expansion connector

An expansion connector including an expandable casing, a pushing member, a compression spring, and a connecting rod. The expandable casing includes an expansion end and is in the shape of a hollow cylindrical tube provided with an axial hole and an inner wall defining the axial hole. The connecting rod includes a first end, a second end, and a stopper disposed between the first end and the second end. The pushing member, the compression spring and the connecting rod are disposed in the expandable casing; the expansion end is expandable radially outwards with respect to the axial hole; the pushing member is disposed in the axial hole and abuts against the expansion end; the pushing member includes a first male thread, and the inner wall of the expansion end includes a first female thread corresponding to the first male thread.

CLAMPING BLADE ANCHOR

Clamping anchors, kits, and related methods. The present anchors comprise a body with proximal base and distal blade configured to rotate relative to the base. The base defines a channel through which a screw or pin is advanced to apply force to a moment arm projection to rotate the blade and can also include a secondary moment arm offset longitudinally from the transverse line toward the distal end of blade. The moment arm(s) can be straight, curved, or angled surfaces that apply sufficient bending moment to rotate the blade up to 90 degrees or more relative to longitudinal axis. Kits comprise one or more anchors and a screw. The methods comprise inserting an anchor through substrate, advancing a screw through the channel so the distal end pushes the moment arm toward the distal end of anchor causing the blade to bend, at the transverse line, away from the longitudinal axis.

Fastening nut device

A fastening nut device for fastening one substrate to another includes a cylinder, which is circumferentially larger proximate to a first end thereof, thus defining a first section and a second section of the cylinder. External threading, which is reversed, is positioned on the second section and extends from a second end of the cylinder. The cylinder can be inserted into a first hole positioned in a first substrate by counterclockwise rotation. The first section of the cylinder abuts a first face of the first substrate and the second end of the cylinder is accessible from a second face of the first substrate. A channel, which is internally threaded, extends into the cylinder from the second end. A threaded fastener, which is engaged to a second substrate, can be inserted by clockwise rotation into the channel to engage the second substrate to the second face of the first substrate.
