Pressure lock retention fastener
11549538 · 2023-01-10 ·

In implementations of a pressure lock retention fastener, the fastener assembly includes an insert sized for insertion into a fastener hole in a first panel. The fastener assembly has a threaded collet sized to slide in the insert and has expandable flanges that extend below the insert. The expandable flanges are sized for insertion into an aligned hole in a second panel. The fastener assembly also includes a screw installable through the insert to engage the threaded collet. The screw exerts a force that pushes the expandable flanges outward as screw rotation drives the screw into the threaded collet, and ridge locks of the expandable flanges seat up against the second panel effective to fasten the panels together. In implementations, a plate is installable between the panels with slotted holes having anti-rotation tabs that prevent a fastener assembly from spinning in the panel holes.

PLASTIC ANCHOR FOR DRYWALL, PLASTER, BRICK AND CONCRETE

An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener. The proximal section comprises a pair of legs each having a toothed rack for engaging the structural material.

Connector for butt-connecting two components

A connector for butt-connecting two chipboard components having two connector parts, which, mutually rotated through 90°, can be pushed together, into one another, into a locked assembly position and are in the form of U-shaped brackets having two outer bracket arms, which respectively have a rear plug-in portion for insertion into a circular drill hole of one component and an expandable front plug-in portion, forming the free bracket end, for insertion into a circular drill hole of the other component. A middle bracket arm is for expansion of the two front plug-in portions of the respectively other bracket in the assembly position. At least one locking portion for the mutual locking of the two brackets in the assembly position is provided. The outer sides of the rear plug-in portions are each configured, at least approximately, as partial lateral surfaces of the same circular cylinder.

Fastening nut device

A fastening nut device for fastening one substrate to another includes a cylinder, which is circumferentially larger proximate to a first end thereof, thus defining a first section and a second section of the cylinder. External threading, which is reversed, is positioned on the second section and extends from a second end of the cylinder. The cylinder can be inserted into a first hole positioned in a first substrate by counterclockwise rotation. The first section of the cylinder abuts a first face of the first substrate and the second end of the cylinder is accessible from a second face of the first substrate. A channel, which is internally threaded, extends into the cylinder from the second end. A threaded fastener, which is engaged to a second substrate, can be inserted by clockwise rotation into the channel to engage the second substrate to the second face of the first substrate.

DOWEL FASTENERS

A fixing is described with a head portion (2), preferably formed as a headed stud (8, 9), and a dowel portion (1). The dowel portion (1) has a generally polygonal, preferably square, cross-section, and on each face is formed a series of barbs (4). The fixing is designed to be hammered into a hole of internal diameter corresponding to the external size of the shaft. Once inserted, the barbs (4) prevent easy extraction, e.g. from a chipboard or mdf-based furniture component. The fixing may have an axial hole (12) through which a secondary fixing, such as a headed screw, may pass, in order to render the force needed to pull the fixing out even greater.

An expandable fixing device contains: a first screw and a second screw. The first screw includes a first head portion and a first extension extending downwardly from the first head portion, the first extension has first threads formed on the first head portion, the first screw further includes a screwing orifice defined in the first head portion and multiple slots formed on the first extension, and the first extension has multiple expansion portions formed on a distal end thereof and intersecting with the multiple slots. The second screw includes a second head portion and a second extension extending downwardly from the second head portion, and the second extension has second threads formed on an outer wall thereof, wherein the second extension has a strike stem and inserting into the screwing orifice via the first screw and pushes the multiple expansion portions to expand outwardly.
