Method and system for increasing crushing strength of a timber panel
A system and method for increasing a crush strength of a panel. The system having a panel being made from side-grain wood, a bore that extends partly or completely through the panel, and a plug made from end-grain wood. Because end-grain wood has a significantly higher crush strength per square inch than side-grain wood, a topical crush strength of the panel can be increased through the use of the plug. The plug can further be provided with a hollow portion to be used with a thread stepped dowel comprising of a base section, at least one middle section, and a tip section, with each section being progressively smaller in circumference than the last. The at least one middle section of the threaded stepped dowel further comprises thread spiraling around the outer surface of the at least one middle section.
MICHAEL-ADDITION-HARDENING HYBRID SYSTEM FOR CHEMICAL FIXING TECHNOLOGY
A hybrid system for use as an adhesive, coating or paint, wherein the hybrid system includes a) a reaction resin based on α,β-unsaturated compounds, b) a reaction resin based on compounds that include CH-acidic methylene groups, and c) a primary amine, and to related subject matter.
ANCHOR ASSEMBLY
An anchor assembly for receiving a fixing member. The assembly may include a shell with a substrate engagement surface. The shell defines a passage configured to receive the fixing member. The passage extends from a trailing edge end of the shell towards a leading edge end of the shell along an alignment axis. There is also provided an engagement member and a resilient member located in the passage. The resilient member is mounted in the passage such that it is fixed relative to the passage and such that an end of the resilient member is moveable with the engagement member along the passage.
Cycloaliphatic-based epoxy adhesive composition
A new adhesive composition comprising a cycloaliphatic-based epoxy composition, which is particularly suitable for use as a structural adhesive in anchoring applications.
MICHAEL-ADDITION-HARDENING SYNTHETIC RESIN FOR CHEMICAL FIXING TECHNOLOGY
Use of a synthetic resin system as an adhesive for chemical fixing technology, especially for fixing anchoring means in drilled holes, which synthetic resin system includes a) a reaction resin based on α, β-unsaturated compounds, b) a reaction resin based on compounds that include CH-acidic methylene groups, and c) a catalyst, and to related subject matter.
CONCRETE FASTENER INSTALLATION USING LOW VISCOSITY ADHESIVE
A method for installing fastener in a base material. The fastener has a shank having a first end and a second end defining a length, a head provided at the second end, and a thread provided on the shank which includes a leading edge and a trailing edge adapted remove portions of the base material when inserted into the base material. The method includes forming a hole having a diameter which is a nominal shank diameter of the fastener to be installed in the base material. The hole is then filled with an adhesive having a viscosity of 350 cP or less. Finally, the fastener is rotated into the hole such that the adhesive is forced into portions of the base material adjacent to the shank and thread when the thread is fully inserted into the hole.
Threadlike Package
A package includes a string of capsules that includes at least three capsules which are disposed next to each other in a threadlike manner and an envelope where the string of capsules is encased in the envelope. At least a first one of the at least three capsules is an A-type capsule which encapsulates a portion of an A-component of a hardenable multi-component mass and at least a second one of the at least three capsules is a B-type capsule which encapsulates a portion of a B-component of the hardenable multi-component mass.
Mounting Structure for Fixtures of an Aircraft Lavatory Unit
A storage rack is mounted on a wall panel via a reinforcing thin sheet and a synthetic resin rivet. The reinforcing thin sheet is mounted on the inner surface of the surface member at a location at which the storage rack is arranged. A rivet insertion hole is formed penetrating the surface member and the reinforcing thin sheet. Leg pieces of the pre-assembled rivet are inserted into the rivet insertion hole from the mounting hole in the storage rack, and a flange portion is brought into contact with a second vertical panel. An expanding shaft portion of the expansion member (30) is pushed into an inner peripheral portion of an expanded member, forming leg piece parts expanded to a dimension larger than the diameter of the rivet insertion hole on the leg piece parts projecting from the reinforcing thin sheet.

METHOD FOR FORMING EASILY SEPARABLE PORTION IN PACKAGING FILM, PACKAGE BAG HAVING EASILY SEPARABLE PORTION, AND FILLING-PACKING MACHINE
[PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED]
To provide a method for readily forming an easily separable portion having an adhesive strength that is required as a package bag on packaging film, a package bag having an easily separable portion formed by this method, and a filling-packing machine utilizing this method.
[SOLUTION]
A method forming an easily separable portion in packaging film by interposing at least two packaging films between a horn emitting ultrasonic waves and an anvil oppositely disposed to the horn, and vibrating the packaging films by the ultrasonic waves, in which a vibratable layer is provided on the packaging film in at least one of the horn side and the anvil side.
