Push through retainer connection with integrated hinging seal
A connection assembly adapted to join a surface element to an underlying support structure while maintaining a substantially zero gap abutting relation between the surface element and the support structure. The connection assembly includes a press-in retainer with a circumferential seal having a sealing foot. The sealing foot flexes about a living hinge while maintaining continuous sliding contact with the support panel without interfering with downward movement of the retainer.
Rotary fastener for securing a fenestration panel
A fastener system for securing a panel to a frame comprises one or more rotating fasteners installed in the perimeter edge of the panel. In operation, one or more cam surfaces of the fastener engage receiving surfaces of a receiver on the frame such that, upon rotation of each fastener, the panel is drawn toward the frame. In some embodiments, the panel is moved in a first direction parallel to the panel and a second direction perpendicular to the panel or in a composite diagonal direction inclined relative to the panel. The fastener system may facilitate compression of seals disposed along the perimeter edge of the panel and between a side of the panel and rabbet ledge of the frame and may further facilitate removal and maintenance of the panel.
FLOATING SHELF SYSTEM
A shelf system includes a panel including a first opening; a plug in the first opening, the plug including a wing that extends from a rear of the plug and is angled with respect to a side of the plug, and a second opening; and a shelf including a tongue, the tongue inside the second opening such that the shelf is retained with respect to the panel by the plug.
Box closure device
A box closure device having a first piece, a second piece, and a hub separating the first piece and second piece is provided. The first piece can have one or more engagement portions. The second piece can extend in both directions relative to the hub and is spaced from the first piece a selected amount allowing for box flaps to fit between the top piece and bottom piece. The second piece can have a blade to assist in positioning the closure device between the interior ends of two flaps. The second piece can also have a glide. In use, the user or a machine can engage the engagement portion(s) and twist the closure device so that the bottom piece is no longer aligned with a gap between the flaps thereby locking the flaps in a closed position. Lobes can be located on the ends of the second piece.
Landscape edging connector
A landscape edging installation includes ends of landscape edging joined together by a connector. The connector may have holes in lugs that are aligned with holes in the landscape edging tabs to receive a ground spike therethrough. The connector conceals a gap between the adjacent edging pieces.
ANIMAL CAGE LOCK
A lock (21) for an animal cage (11), the lock (21) being configured for locking a first wire mesh panel (13) of the cage to an adjacent second wire mesh panel (14), the lock comprising: a fastener (29, 31) for coupling the lock (21) to said first panel (13) in the vicinity of a peripheral edge of said first panel; a panel support (36) for supporting a peripheral edge portion of said adjacent second wire mesh panel (14), and a two-part locking mechanism (39, 41) reconfigurable between a first position in which said peripheral edge portion of said adjacent second wire mesh (14) panel is retained in said panel support (36) and a second position where said peripheral edge portion of said adjacent second wire mesh panel (14) can be moved out of said support (36).
Biased blind side temporary fasteners, systems and methods
A temporary fastener a plunger having a distal portion including a plurality of plunger fingers, where depressing the plunger causes axial translation of a collet body to place the temporary fastener in an activated state where a plurality of flexible fingers in the collet body radially converge and where releasing the plunger places the temporary fastener in a clamped state in which the plurality of flexible fingers in the collet body are outwardly displaced. The temporary fastener further includes a web element positioned at a proximal end of a rod and including a plurality of opening permitting the plurality of plunger fingers to axially translate there through during depression and release of the plunger. The temporary fastener further includes a spring positioned within a case and exerting a restorative force on the collet body and the plunger in response to depression of the plunger.
CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT DEVICE
A construction support device is disclosed for support and assembly of planar members into complex structures. A construction support device can comprise a first and second unit that are separable where each support unit comprises a plurality of sinuate grooves between a plurality of sections with sinuate edges. The sections are flexible about a center to increase the width of the sinuate grooves to receive greater thickness of planar members. A cubic embodiment with flat outer surfaces and a spheric embodiment with round outer surfaces are disclosed.
PUSH THROUGH RETAINER CONNECTION WITH INTEGRATED HINGING SEAL
A press-in retainer includes a retainer head having a collar and a seal disposed at least partially about the collar. A clip portion projects from the collar. The seal includes a main body engaging the collar and a sealing foot disposed entirely outboard from the collar. The sealing foot is configured to hinge about an intersection of the sealing foot and body portion while remaining entirely outboard from the main body. In a substantially flattened condition of the sealing foot, an angle between the sealing foot and a distal surface of the main body approaches a flat contiguous surface.
Cable Tray Clips and Methods for Using the Same
A cable tray clip can couple sections of a wire mesh cable tray. The cable tray clip can include a base and a retainer rotatably coupled to the base. The retainer can be rotated to a closed position to retain one or more wires within one or more pockets on the base.
