Integrally formed thread lock retention feature
A laundry appliance includes a basement housing comprising a capacitor receiver. A capacitor is disposed within the capacitor receiver to define a secured position. The capacitor receiver includes at least one retaining flange that is coupled to the basement housing via a living hinge. At least one retaining flange is outwardly biased away from a body of the capacitor when the capacitor is placed in an inserted position. At least one retaining flange includes a thread-engaging surface that operates to the secured position upon rotation of the capacitor in the inserted position.
Non-Loosening Bolt
A nonloosening bolt may comprise a first bolt and a second bolt. The first bolt may have a bolt head, and the second bolt may have a threaded tip. Conversely, the first bolt may have a threaded tip, and the second bolt may have a bolt head. The first bolt may comprise an eccentric columnar portion having a small-diameter male-threaded portion at an outside circumference thereof. The second bolt may comprise a small-diameter female-threaded hole that threadedly engages with the small-diameter threaded portion. Threaded engagement between the small-diameter threaded portion and the small-diameter threaded hole may result in a constitution in which the central axes and pitches of the threaded portions at the outside circumferences of the first bolt and the second bolt are aligned. An eccentric frustoconical protrusion may be provided at the first bolt so as to fit within an eccentric frustoconical hole provided at the second bolt.
FIXING DEVICE
The present invention relates to, in a first aspect, a fixing device comprising an anchor element that is positioned along an axis, the anchor element extending substantially perpendicular thereto, a rotating element arranged perpendicular to and rotatable about the axis, and spaced therealong from the anchor element, and a deployment mechanism, comprising a first deployment portion on the anchor element and a second deployment portion on the rotating element, wherein one of the first and second deployment portions comprise a sloping surface extending at least partway around the axis, and the other is shaped to be able to roll, slide or otherwise move along the sloping surface, the anchor element and rotating element are able to move towards one another along the axis, and the deployment mechanism is adapted to convert movement of the anchor element and rotating element towards one another into helical movement in a first-handed direction along and about the axis. Also provided are a fixing device for fixing an article to a structure, a system comprising a fixing or fastening device, and a method of using a fixing device.
Linear latching systems and methods
A latching assembly includes a linear component and a base component. The linear component is configured to be coupled to a first element and includes at least one retention projection. The base component is configured to be coupled to a second element and includes a channel and at least one retention feature. The linear component is configured to be slidably received within the channel of the base component and the at least one retention feature of the base component is configured to engage the at least one retention projection of the linear component to retain the linear component within the channel of the base component.
FASTENER, FASTENING STRUCTURE, AND METHOD OF DESIGNING FASTENER
Provided are a fastener that can reduce the fastener weight, decrease body shear fracture, and avoid slip of a nut part and damage of the body due to the slip. The fastener includes: a metal nut part into which a bolt is screwed along an axis; and a resin body in which the nut part is inserted, the nut part includes an internal thread part into which the bolt is screwed from one end to another, a plate-like flange part connected to a side of the other end of the internal thread part and having a flange face perpendicular to the axis, and an erected part arranged at a position apart from the internal thread part radially about the axis and erected axially from the flange face, and the internal thread part and the erected part are inserted in the body.
Locking connector assembly
A locking connector assembly includes a first connection member and a second connection member each having a channel. The first connection member has an upper retaining arm and a lower retaining arm. A longitudinal passage is defined between the upper and lower retaining arms, a tab includes a pull beam extending outwardly and linearly beyond the upper and lower retaining arms, and a gap is formed in an upper free end of the upper retaining arm and a lower free end of the lower retaining arm. The second connection member includes at least two insert members configured to be received within the longitudinal passage of the first connection member. The at least two insert members are configured to be engaged and moved to connect the first connection member to the second connection member in a connected state.
Expandable diameter fastener with cam-lock feature
The present disclosure relates to a fastener system for use in securing objects, such as stress skinned panels, to a structural support, such as an aircraft spar or cross member. The fastener may be provided with a radially-expandable collar assembly, an anti-rotator assembly, a shaft, and a bolt-lock.
Method for component handling and connecting of components
A combination component handling and connecting device connectable to a multi-axis robot for use in moving and connecting components and subassemblies includes a housing and an actuator fixedly connected to the housing. The actuator includes an actuating link movable from a first position to a second position. Connected to the actuating link is an end effector for concurrent movement with the actuating link. The component handling and connecting device includes a clamp having a first jaw and a second jaw. The second jaw is connected to the actuating link for selectively moving the second jaw toward the first jaw operative to engage a component.
Interlocking scintillating display panels and method of use
Scintillating display panels having a plurality of display element posts formed on the top surface and integrated interlocking couplings formed in the edge margins of each display panel.
