SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING CHAINS
A method of repairing a chain can include aligning a bore of an outer chain link with a bore of an inner chain link, inserting a pin through the aligned bores, the pin having a thread end opposite a head end, engaging a multi-jackbolt tensioner with the thread end of the pin, the multi-jackbolt tensioner having a plurality of fasteners, advancing each of the plurality of fasteners to press on the outer chain link, and forming an interference fit between the pin and the outer chain link at the bore of the outer chain link from the advancing of the fasteners.
Fastening device
A fastening device for fastening a bolt to a fastening target object, wherein the bolt has a bolt head female screw section in an inner circumferential surface of a recess provided in an upper surface of a bolt head section. The fastening device includes a tension rod having a rod male screw section engaging the bolt head female screw section; a drive socket circumferentially surrounding the tension rod and having a lower end section with a grasper for laterally grasping the bolt head section; a supporter circumferentially surrounding the drive socket and having a lower end section protruding downward beyond a lower end section of the drive socket; a sensor for sensing compression force acting on the supporter in the upward/downward direction; a first motor for rotating the tension rod around an axis extending in the upward/downward direction; and a second motor for rotating the drive socket around the axis.
Modular driver and screw system
The combination of a driver and fastener that allows a user to insert and remove the fastener by applying larger than normal torque loads to it includes: (a) a fastener with a proximal end handle and a distal end head configured to provide a standard indentation and an additional recess that provides additional surface area that allows larger torque loads to be applied to the fastener, (b) a main driver with a shaft having a central bore, a handle at its proximal end and a head at its distal end configured to allow it to be temporarily inserted into the fastener's head, and (c) an awl driver having an awl shaft with an awl handle affixed to its distal end and its proximal end including a tip configured to allow it to pass through the main driver's bore and be brought into contact with the fastener's head where it is used to cut into the fastener cannula so as to temporarily adhere the awl driver to the fastener.
Anchor sealing hygienic bracket
An offset hygienic anchor sealing bracket for installation of block style tube and pipe hangers to a paneled strata in which there is no access to the reverse side, there being a need to secure the anchor bracket to an anchor bolt or toggle bolt and simultaneously shield the exposed toggle bolt structure from the environment of the clean room, sterile room, or sanitary room in order to protect the irregular surface of the toggle bolt from caustic cleaning solutions and to prevent the build up of dirt and bacteria, the anchor bracket having bored pedestals in communication with the cavity which encapsulates the exposed portion of the toggle bolt and secures the anchor bracket thereto, the anchor bracket having a plurality of female threaded receptacles for receipt of fasteners utilized in assembling block style tube and pipe hangers, thus securing the block style tube and pipe hanger to the panel at a desired slope and center line.
Fastening device
In a fastening device for fastening a bolt, a male thread is formed on a side surface of a bolt head part, and a part to be engaged is formed on a top surface of the bolt head part. The fastening device includes a bit having a tension rod having a rod female thread part, and an engaging part installed inside the tension rod and engaging the engaged part, the bit causing the bolt to rotate where the engaged part and engaging part are engaged; a supporter surrounding the tension rod in the circumferential direction such that the lower end part thereof protrudes below the lower end part; a sensor for sensing vertical compression force acting on the supporter; a first motor for causing the bit to rotate about the axis; and a second motor for causing the tension rod to rotate about the vertically extending axis.
Assisted removal fastener system
The present invention is concerned with improvements to removable fasteners and particularly relates to removable and re-usable fasteners with features that allow them to be gripped and handled positively. The present invention therefore provides a fastening system comprising a fastener and a tool, the tool being suitable for installing and removing the fastener from an aperture in a work-piece, wherein the fastener has a main body and a head at one end, and wherein the head of the fastener and the tool have grip features that allow the fastener to be releasably locked to the tool to prevent separation of the fastener and tool during installation and removal of the fastener. This allows the fastener to be handled positively without fear of the fastener becoming misaligned, or dropping off the tool.
Mill liner installation
The present disclosure relates to a method for use in installation of a mill liner, the method including (a) retaining a mounting bolt at least partially within a liner opening extending through the mill liner, (b) positioning the mill liner against a mill shell so that the retained mounting bolt is aligned with a mill shell opening extending through the mill shell, (c) selectively coupling an extraction tool to the mounting bolt, the coupling performed by an operator outside of the mill shell, (d) detaching the mounting bolt from the liner using the extraction tool; (e) pulling the mounting bolt through the mill shell opening so that at least a portion of the mounting bolt protrudes outside of the mill shell, and, (e) securing a fastener onto the mounting bolt to thereby attach the mill liner to the mill.
PLUMB ADJUSTER FOR ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE
A plumb adjuster configured to plumb an electrical enclosure mounted to a vertical or nearly vertical surface. The plumb adjuster includes a side wall with a threaded outer surface that is configured to engage a threaded surface of the electrical enclosure. The side wall defines a cavity accessible through a first opening at a first end that is configured to receive the head of a fastener for mounting the electrical enclosure to the surface. An end wall coupled to a second end of the side wall has an outer surface configured to engage the surface to which the electrical enclosure is mounted. The end wall has an inner surface configured to engage the head of the fastener.
