Fastener assembly with pivoting nut
An example pivot nut assembly includes a pivot body and a nut. The nut is pivotably engaged in the pivot body.
ANGLED THREADED ROD COUPLING HAVING MOUNTABLE PASS-THROUGH COUPLER AND IMPROVEMENTS THEREOF
An angled coupling including a main pass-through coupler to allow a first threaded rod to pass therethrough and a second coupling extending at angle therefrom to receive second threaded rod. The main coupler is configured to be secured to any location on the first threaded rod without requiring it to be screwed onto first threaded rod. The main coupler includes a first half and a second half spaced from each other that can be secured together at desired location on first threaded rod. The main coupler includes an upper section having a first approximately half of body thereof and corresponding threads and lower section having a second approximately half of body, opposite the first half, and corresponding threads. The first threaded rod is retained in both halves by insertion and rotation until the threaded rod snaps in place and kept fixed with retaining clips.
Systems and Methods for a Hanger for Supporting a Threaded Object
A hanger (200) is provided for supporting a load on a threaded object (10) with a longitudinal axis. The hanger (200) can include a hanger body (202), a hole (210) in the hanger body (202), and a partial thread portion (212). The hole (210) can be configured to receive the threaded object (10) therethrough. The partial thread portion (212) can be configured to engage with a thread of the threaded object (10) when the hanger (200) is in an engaged configuration. The hanger (200) can be configured to move from a non-engaged configuration to the engaged configuration without rotation of the hanger body (202) or the threaded object (10) about the longitudinal axis of the threaded object (10).
Rotatable hand tools and fasteners
A hand tool for driving a fastener is provided. The hand tool includes gearing that interconnects a splined socket to a rotatable or trigger actuator and increases a rotational speed of the splined socket relative to the actuator. The hand tool may include a power tool receiver 38 or an independent motor to drive rotation of the splined socket to advance or retract a fastener from a threaded shaft. By increasing the speed and conserving rotational inertia, the hand tool reduces the time to secure a fastener on a threaded shaft. A rotatable nut is provided. The rotatable nut can slideably orient along a first axis and threadedly orient along a second axis to fasten to an adjacent surface.
Nut, Fastener Assembly and Fastening Method
A nut adapted to be connected with a bolt includes a through hole defining a first central axis. A first internal thread is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the through hole at a first side of a first end of the through hole. A second internal thread is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the through hole at a second side, opposite to the first side, of a second end of the through hole. The first internal thread and the second internal thread define a second central axis, distinct from the first central axis. The bolt is capable of being positioned in the through hole in a first posture in which the bolt is parallel to the first central axis, and in a second posture in which the bolt is parallel to the second central axis and engaged with the first and second internal threads.
BARBELL HAVING A QUICK-CLAMPING NUT FOR CLAMPING THE WEIGHTS
A barbell as a piece of sports equipment for training and/or for taking part in competitions, having a bar for releasably and/or exchangeably holding weights, wherein the bar has at least one external thread having at least one weight, which has an opening for sliding onto and pulling off the bar, and having at least one clamping nut so as to hold and/or secure the respective weight, to be held on the bar, by clamping the clamping nut introduced onto the external thread with respect to the weight, characterized in that the clamping nut is in the form of a quick-clamping nut which has a through-opening with an internal thread.
Quickly slideable and incrementally adjustable barrier
A barrier for the inside of a home. The barrier includes two partitions that slide relative to each other to increase and decrease a distance between ends of the barrier. The partitions slide into and out of confronting relationships with each other. The partitions engage each other at upper and lower locations and further at a medial location where an elongate member of one partition is received in a tube engaged to the other partition. A threaded piece upon being turned brings pressure to bear upon an end of the tube such that the partitions can be incrementally expanded apart and thereby pressurized between two locations within the home so as to block off one portion of the home. The threaded piece is slideable along the elongate member.
Quick fastener
A quick release fastener. The quick release fastener comprises a first end, a second, opposing end, and a main body therebetween. The main body comprises an internal lumen or passageway having a plurality of guiding surfaces and securing surfaces. The securing surfaces are preferably angled surfaces. The angled orientation provides a securing member insertion axis (which also forms the longitudinal axis) and a securing member securing axis; each axis forming a separate plane to allow the quick release fastener to quickly and easily traverse between a locked position and an unlocked position.
