Optical bench
An optical bench for supporting a reflex sight in a weapon-mounted sight assembly includes a reflex sight mounting portion having a first surface for receiving a reticle light source and a first reticle lens mounting arm spaced apart from a second reticle lens mounting arm. The first and second reticle lens mounting arms are attached to the reflex sight mounting portion and the first and second reticle lens mounting arms are configured to engage opposite sides of a reticle lens to support the reticle lens in an optical path of the reticle light source. The first and second reticle lens mounting arms are sufficiently resilient to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction of the reticle lens. In further aspects, a weapon sight assembly employing an optical bench and a method for manufacturing an optical bench are provided.
Fastener
A nut-and-bolt fastener is provided. The nut and bolt are configured with a plurality of interlocking teeth that provide unidirectional travel of the nut with respect to the bolt. In particular, the configuration of the teeth arrest separation of the nut from the bolt while permitting the nut to move toward the head of the bolt into a fastened engagement. The teeth are non-helical and arranged concentrically around the longitudinal axis in evenly-spaced steps or segments along the longitudinal axis and around the shaft of the bolt and bore of the nut. Integral winged washers are provided on the bolt head as well as on the nut. Variations with different rake angles of the teeth as well as an expandable nut are also provided.

Segmented nuts
A segmented nut has inner segments and an outer sleeve. Part of the sleeve interface portion and part of the segment interface portion engage when the sleeve rotates relative to the inner nut during release of the segmented nut with part of the segment interface portion at a greater distance from a central axis of the segmented nut than a minimum distance of the at least part of the sleeve interface portion from the central axis. One or more of the segments can include a retainer preventing the sleeve moving toward a free face of the segment(s). One or more of the segments can have a flange portion providing an increased working (compression) face relative to a plain segmented nut. An assembled segmented nut can include some radial freeplay for the segments to move radially whilst being retained within the sleeve prior to application of the segmented nut to a threaded bolt, stud or rod such that threading of the segmented nut onto the thread of the bolt, stud or rod removes the freeplay.
Orientation adjustable mounts and related methods of locking into alignment
Mount assemblies that include clamps that can clamp directly to external threads of a respective adjuster bolt to lock the adjuster bolt in a desired orientation and/or position and provide for triangulated adjustment allowing for increased alignment precision. The mount assemblies can be particularly suitable for locking an aligned antenna into a desired azimuth position.
NUT HAVING A SLOT FOR A SELECTIVE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
Nut (1) for moving a strip for transporting powder in a selective additive manufacturing apparatus, having a tapped hole (2) extending along a first axis (A), characterized in that it comprises a slot (3a, 3b) which passes through the thickness of the nut from an external surface of the nut (1) to the internal surface (5) of the tapped hole (2) and which extends along a plane passing through the first axis (A) over at least one thread pitch (6) of the tapped hole (2).
Nut
This nut (1) comprises a nut main body (3) having a substantially cylindrical shape and constituted by a plurality of nut segments (3a), an outer cover (4), a restraining ring (5), an inner cover (6) comprising a restraining plate (6a) at one end portion of the inner cover (6) and serving to cover an outer circumference of the nut main body (3), and a ring-shaped spring (7) serving to bias the nut main body (3) to cause the nut main body (3) to expand radially. Protrusions (8) protruding in a circumferential direction are formed on an inner surface of the inner cover (6). Grooves (9) are formed on an outer surface of the nut main body. The protrusions (8) and the grooves (9) have slant surfaces (10) that contact each other on the same side in the axial direction.
