Device for resisting rotation of a tap
A device for resisting rotation of a tap fitted to a work surface comprises a body; an engagement formation for engaging with a part of the tap; and an attachment means for irrotatably attaching the device to the tap. The device further comprises fastening means for irrotatably fastening the device to a work surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING CHAINS
A method of repairing a chain can include aligning a bore of an outer chain link with a bore of an inner chain link, inserting a pin through the aligned bores, the pin having a thread end opposite a head end, engaging a multi-jackbolt tensioner with the thread end of the pin, the multi-jackbolt tensioner having a plurality of fasteners, advancing each of the plurality of fasteners to press on the outer chain link, and forming an interference fit between the pin and the outer chain link at the bore of the outer chain link from the advancing of the fasteners.
Ceiling fan motor adapter
A motor adapter assembly can couple a motor shaft for a ceiling fan motor to a downrod. The motor adapter assembly can include a base plate, a cradle with arms extending through the base plate, and a threaded bushing secured between the arms of the cradle. Threading a cap to the threaded bushing can be used to pivot the downrod between an upright position and a pivoted position.
WHEEL NUT ASSEMBLY
A wheel nut assembly for fixing a wheel to a vehicle hub which includes a wheel nut with an internal thread and an axial body extension on said nut including a first section with an internal set of axial grooves or ribs and a second section containing a second internal screw thread. There is also a wheel stud having an external thread to co-operate with the internal thread of said wheel nut and having an end portion adapted to project beyond the wheel nut which end portion includes axial grooves or ribs on its external surface. An axial retaining cap consists of an upper externally screw threaded first portion which is adapted to engage the second internal screw thread of said body extension of said nut and attached to said first portion a second cap portion having internal grooves or ribs complementary to the external ribs or grooves on said wheel stud adapted to fit over said wheel stud and having external ribs or grooves adapted to engage the internal set of axial grooves or ribs on the first section of said body extension of said wheel nut. The first portion of said retaining cap is able to be rotated so that it moves axially down the internal screw thread of the second section of said body extension of said wheel nut so that the second portion of said cap is pushed down the end of said wheel stud and is held between the external ribs and grooves of the end of said wheel stud and the internal ribs and grooves of the first section of said body extension of said wheel nut.
TELESCOPING BOOM WEAR PAD IMPROVEMENTS
This disclosure relates to a wear button or pad for a telescoping boom of the type comprising at least an outer boom member comprising a threaded bore therethrough for the wear pad assembly, and an inner boom member that is slidable with respect to the outer boom member. In one form, the wear pad assembly comprises a wear pad and a base, a first of which comprises a generally cylindrical body comprising a curved external side surface comprising a screw thread via which this is threadably engageable in the threaded bore, and an internally tapered expandable collet, and the second of which comprises an externally and complementarily tapered mandrel portion, wherein in use, the externally threaded part is threadably engaged in the threaded bore and expanded therein by insertion of the externally and complementarily tapered mandrel portion in the expandable collet.
Adjusting device for a cutting tool and cutting tool having an adjusting device
An adjusting device 17 for fine adjustment of a cutting support 14, which is adjustable on a basic body 12 of a cutting tool 10, relative to the basic body 12, with an adjusting screw 63 which determines the position of the cutting support 14 relative to the basic body 12. The adjusting device 17 comprises a threaded bushing 61 with which the set screw 63 is screwed and which has a wall segment 66 which is elastically deformable transversely to the socket axis 70, and a pressure element 64 arranged laterally of the threaded bushing 61 which presses the wall segment 66 against the set screw 63.
Gauge wheel arm with split end and threaded bore
A mounting assembly for a gauge wheel on a row unit allows for infinite lateral adjustment of the gauge relative to an opening disc on the row unit. The mounting assembly includes an arm with a threaded bore extending through a split end of the arm. A threaded bushing is adjustably mounted in the bore and secured in a desired position with a bolt standing through the split end to clamp bushing in position. The split end mounting arm provides a method of quickly and easily adjusting the lateral position of the gauge wheel on the row unit in infinite increments.
TAMPER-PROOF SCREW
A tamper-proof screw includes a main body, a pin body, a ball, and at least one abutting member. A through hole is provided in the main body. The pin body is movably disposed in the through hole. The ball is located in the through hole. The abutting member is located in the through hole and has a connecting end and a free end opposite to each other. The connecting end is disposed on an inner wall of the main body and located between the ball and the free end. The ball is located between the pin body and the abutting member. When the pin body moves in the through hole to push the ball to press against the connecting end of the abutting member, the abutting member pivots around the connecting end to allow the free end to extend outwards from the main body.
Retainer nut locking apparatus and methods
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to retainer nut locking apparatus and methods for fluid ends, and associated components thereof. In one implementation, a method of operating a fluid end includes installing a retainer nut assembly on a fluid end body by turning a retainer nut in an installation direction and into a bore formed in the fluid end body. The retainer nut has a first surface that faces away from the fluid end body and a second surface that faces that fluid end body. The method also includes rotating a locking tab in a locking direction and into contact with an inner surface of the fluid end body. The locking direction is opposite of the installation direction. The locking tab is disposed inside the bore and adjacent to the second surface of the retainer nut.
