Provided is a simple and convenient self-locking nut. The simple and convenient self-locking nut consists of a concave nut (1) having a tapered-cylinder-shaped recess and a matching convex nut (2) having a tapered-cylinder-shaped protrusion, wherein a tapered-cylinder-shaped part of the matching nut is provided with a matching spiral progressive locking structure, a convex part of the convex nut is provided with open through grooves, thus forming an intermittent annular progressive locking structure, such that the convex part of the nut locks a bolt (3) while being locked with the concave nut (1), or locking is so tight that intermittent occlusion is formed with a thread of the bolt (3) to enhance the locking efficiency of the bolt (3); and the two nuts and the tapered-cylindrical and annular progressive tightening structure guarantee uniform stress, thus ensuring the reliability of the overall efficacy, and the expected goal that the nut will not come loose after being locked is achieved without affecting the normal characteristics of the bolt.

Retention anchor for surgical access devices

A surgical access assembly includes a cannula and a retention anchor including an annular body and a washer secured to the annular body. The annular body includes an inner side surface defining an opening therethrough, and the washer includes an inner terminal edge defining an opening therethrough that is aligned with the opening of the annular body. The elongated shaft of the cannula extends through the openings. The washer is transitionable between a first configuration in which the inner terminal edge of the washer is coincident with or disposed radially outwardly of the inner side surface of the annular body so that the retention anchor is slidable along the elongated shaft, and a second configuration in which the inner terminal edge of the washer extends radially inwardly of the inner side surface of the annular body and engages the elongated shaft to fix the retention anchor to the elongated shaft.

A nonloosening bolt may comprise a first bolt and a second bolt. The first bolt may have a bolt head, and the second bolt may have a threaded tip. Conversely, the first bolt may have a threaded tip, and the second bolt may have a bolt head. The first bolt may comprise an eccentric columnar portion having a small-diameter male-threaded portion at an outside circumference thereof. The second bolt may comprise a small-diameter female-threaded hole that threadedly engages with the small-diameter threaded portion. Threaded engagement between the small-diameter threaded portion and the small-diameter threaded hole may result in a constitution in which the central axes and pitches of the threaded portions at the outside circumferences of the first bolt and the second bolt are aligned. An eccentric frustoconical protrusion may be provided at the first bolt so as to fit within an eccentric frustoconical hole provided at the second bolt.

RETENTION DEVICE

In some implementations, a retention apparatus for retaining a rod in a cylinder rod may include a first retention component and a second retention component. The first retention component may be configured to retain the rod in the cylinder rod. The first retention component may comprise a first surface and a second surface. The portion, of the first surface, may be a threaded surface and may be adjacent to the second surface. The portion may be configured to be threaded onto the cylinder rod to cause the second surface to retain the second retention component in the cylinder rod and to cause the second retention component to engage the rod. The second retention component may be configured to engage the rod.
