LIGHTWEIGHT-CONSTRUCTION FASTENER

A lightweight-construction fastener (10) having a one-piece clip body (20) made of plastic and a clip nut (40). The clip body has the basic shape of a clamp, having two opposite legs (22, 24) extending in the longitudinal direction and a cage (28) in which the clip nut is floatingly mounted. The clip nut in turn has a nut base (42) which is substantially planar. A main part (44) is structured on the nut base and has a cover surface (41) and a plurality of side walls (51, 51′) which extend between the nut base and the cover surface. The side walls of the main part preferably have a convex curvature and the cage has correspondingly designed concave walls. The sizing is such that the convex-concave surface pairs act as torque supports during use of the lightweight-construction fastener.

The present patent has a simple structure, solves the problem of nail or screw rusting, does not need any mounting tool, and has a plurality of barbs so that falling-off is prevented. The present patent is suitable for components of various thicknesses and various occasions.

The present patent discloses an expansive fastener, comprising a male buckle and a female buckle, wherein the male buckle comprises a main body, round-head bumps and a front opening, the front opening being located at a front end of the body and being conical, the circular head bumps being located in front of the main body and behind the front opening, a rear end of the main body being connected to a pressing face; and, the female buckle comprises a main body, grooves, an enlarged opening, externally circular barbs and a cone, the enlarged opening being located at the rearmost end of the main body, both the grooves and the cone being located inside the main body, the externally circular barbs being sheathed outside the main body. With the round-head bumps, the detachability is excellent and it is convenient for mounting and replacement.

A fastener system includes a bolt and a retainer. The bolt has a first end and an opposing second end, wherein a recess having a predetermined shape is defined in the first end of the bolt. The retainer includes a first end having a predetermined shape configured to be inserted within the recess in the first end of the bolt and a second end configured to couple about the second end of the bolt. A method of fastening parts together with the fastener system includes inserting the first end of the retainer into the recess of the bolt, deflecting and/or rotating the retainer in a direction to bring the second end of the retainer into proximity with the second end of the bolt, and securing a nut to the bolt.

An assembly having a chassis, two supports with a plate and a guide, a nesting system with a bore, a reservoir containing an extinguishing fluid and with two fastening tabs, two bearing tabs and a peg, and a fastener. The reservoir is able to move in translation between a premounting position in which each fastening and bearing tab rests on a plate and each guide guides the fastening and bearing tabs to align the peg and the bore, and a mounting position in which each fastening tab rests on the plate, the peg is introduced into the bore, the bearing tabs no longer rest on the plates and the fastener fastens each fastening tab to the plate. Such an assembly allows the reservoir to be withdrawn and put in place quickly and easily.

Bolt retainer configuration to hold a position of a bolt within a component

A bolt retainer, to position a bolt within a bolt receiving element of a component, is disclosed. The bolt retainer may include a tube structure. The bolt retainer may further include bolt engaging elements that extend from an inner surface of the tube structure to engage with the bolt. The bolt retainer may additionally include component engaging elements that extend from an outer surface of the tube structure to engage with the component.

An acousto-optic device may include an acousto-optic component carried by a chassis, and a fastener assembly for removably securing a cover to the chassis. The fastener assembly may include a base sleeve having an enlarged head, and a tubular body and extending through a cover passageway. The fastener assembly may include a retainer sleeve having a threaded interior secured to the threaded exterior of the base sleeve to define an anchor member, the anchor member having a threaded interior. The fastener assembly may further include a fastener, a shaft having a threaded exterior opposite the enlarged head and to be threaded through the threaded interior of the anchor member to capture the fastener to the cover and movable through the chassis passageway for removably securing the cover to the chassis.

The connector (1) includes a body (2) in having a blind bore (20), within which is received a retaining element (3), a threaded insert (4) and a bolt (5) with a shaft (50). The threaded insert (4) provides a threaded hole (40) that receives the shaft (50). The bolt (5) has a head (51) at a first end of the shaft (50) and the retaining element (3) is secured to a second end thereof to inhibit removal of the shaft (50) from the body (2). The shaft (5) has a central threaded portion (55) between the head (51) and the retaining element (3) to engage the threaded hole (40) such that rotation of the body (2) relative to the bolt (5) draws the head (51) toward the body (2) to captivate and clamp an overhang (13) of the slot (10) in the support member (11) between the head (51) and the body (2).

Fastener system

A fastener system for securing a component to a structure is provided. The system includes a pin portion and a clip portion. The pin portion has a head and a shaft. The clip portion has a head engagement flange and a retainer flange configured to receive a fastener that extends along a first axis. The clip portion and the pin portion are configured for engagement with one another in an engaged position, and in the engaged position the pin portion shaft extends along a second axis non-parallel to the first axis.
