A tool holder with a J-shaped body. A gate includes an arm that is pivotally attached to a finger at the top of the body. The gate pivots between a closed position where the gate spans the opening between the two free ends of the body, an inside position where the gate is pivoted into the inside the body, and an outside position where gate is pivoted to outside the body. A biasing mechanism biases the gate to the closed position. An optional gate lock prevents the gate from opening when engaged. A barrel either rotates or slides, depending in the configuration, on the arm between an unlocked position where the gate can move between the inside, closed, and outside positions, and a locked position where the gate is retained in the closed position. An attachment secures the tool holder to flat webbing.

A device for releasably retaining a carabiner, said device includes: an elongate body with a jaw member hingedly attached at a first position thereto, said jaw member being movable towards and away from the elongate body in a first plane; a first projecting member and a second projecting member extending outwardly from a first side of the elongate body and away from the first plane; a third projecting member extending outwardly from a first side of the jaw member and away from the first plane, wherein the first projecting member and the second projecting member are configured to receive a spine of a carabiner inserted therebetween and whereupon third projecting member is configured to urge a gate of the carabiner toward the spine of the carabiner.

Provided is a safety hook fastening condition prediction system. More particularly, provided is a safety hook fastening condition prediction system that provides a central axis to a conventional safety hook zone, attaches a safety hook fastening case to the central axis, senses a safety hook fastening condition using sensor values of a pressure sensor, a movement sensor, and an altitude sensor in the safety hook fastening case, and predicts a risk.

A carabiner includes a swivel loop and a body rotatably coupled to the swivel loop about a rotational axis. The body includes a spine having a spine axis that intersects the rotational axis at an intersection point disposed within the connection between the swivel loop and the body. The carabiner also includes a captive eye formed completely within the spine. The body and the captive eye being both rotatable relative to swivel loop.

The present invention extends to a carabiner intended for use as an adjustable anchor. In general, embodiments of the invention include a carabiner that includes a pinching mechanism. More specifically, some embodiments of the invention include a carabiner having a pinching mechanism that includes one of a slidable pin, a rotatable cam, or a pivotable block. Additionally, some embodiments of the invention include a rope, whereas other embodiments can be used with a rope supplied by a climber.

An embodiment personal item management apparatus includes a wearable band having a fixed circumference that defines a first outer diameter; and a clasp coupled to the wearable band, the clasp having a second outer diameter that is less than the first outer diameter and being adapted to couple a personal item to the wearable band. In an exemplary embodiment, the ratio of the second outer diameter to the first outer diameter is about 0.4.

A bucket hook for supporting tools from a utility bucket includes: a first leg, including: a first hook; a gate mounted to the first leg and movable between a first position in which it contacts the first hook, and a second position in which it is pivoted away from the first hook; and spring biasing means resiliently urging the gate towards the closed position; a second leg spaced from the first leg; and a crossbar interconnecting the first leg and the second leg.

A device for connecting and releasing a connection between two elements. The device comprises a body to which an attached element is fastened and to which a first connecting member is pivotably attached. The first connecting member is releasably connected with a second connecting member fastened to a detachable element. A release member is movably attached to the body. Between the body and the release member there is a resilient element. A connecting and releasing pivotal movement of the first connecting member is caused by acting on the first connecting member with the active release member and/or the active second connecting member. The device comprises an adjusting assembly which allows a user to change a magnitude of a force needed to release the connection.
