Furniture with interwoven tab and slot joint
A joint for furniture uses alternating tabs and slots formed along an edge of first and second furniture panels. The panels are joined together so that tabs in the first panel are disposed in slots in the second panel and tabs in the second panel are disposed in slots in the first panel. This arrangement causes the slots to flex outwardly and the tabs to flex inwardly once assembled and creates residual stress in the assembled joint which stiffens the joint.
Wall hanging system
A wall hanging system by which a wall décor item such as a ledge, a frame, artwork, or the like may be mounted to and hung from a wall. The wall hanging system may include a first mounting assembly that is coupled to the wall and a second mounting assembly that is coupled to the wall décor item. The first and second mounting assemblies may be engaged to mount the wall décor item from the wall. One of the first and second mounting assemblies may include a post and the other of the first and second mounting assemblies may include a cavity. The post may be inserted into an insertion portion of the cavity and then slid to a nesting portion of the cavity to lock the first mounting assembly to the second mounting assembly.
Recessed-Key Panel Interlocking Device
The recessed-key panel interlocking device is intended to provide a mechanical joint that can connect two panels using a single fastening key. Accordingly, the device connects two panels by interlocking uniform gaps and fingers that have been formed on the edges of each panel, by a small cylindrical key that holds them together. To accomplish this, a channel that can hold the key is formed along the edge region of both panels when the panels are oriented normally to one another. Further, when the panels are interlocked, the key is completely recessed within the panel material. Furthermore, while the panel edges that form the joint must be uniformly rectilinear and meet at right angles at the joint itself, beyond the joint they can assume any shape and bend to any angle, so that parts joined by the joint do not have to be panel-shaped or perpendicular to each other overall.

DISPLAY STAND CONNECTOR
A display stand connector can include a first part including a body member for attachment to a first part of a display stand and a protuberance extending from at least one surface of the body member. A second part of the display stand connector can include a base for attachment to a second part of the display stand, the base including a slot. The body member of the first part is locatable within the slot so as to connect the first and second parts of the display stand. The display stand connector is made from a pulp material.
Construction Plate and Modular Storage and Display System Assembled Therefrom
The present invention is a construction plate and system made of a series of construction plates. The construction plate is a flat sheet of generally square or rectangular material having a length to width ratio of particular dimensions with at least one opening about its center having slots along the top and bottom edges for connecting the construction plates together. The construction plate may additionally have indentations along the top edge for integrating with other construction plates, slots on the left and/or right side edges for receiving other construction plates, apertures near the corner of the top edge and left side and/or right side edges and near the corner of the bottom edge for receiving dowels or poles for hanging items and the at least one opening and/or top edge of the flat sheet may have keyhole shaped apertures extending toward said bottom edge of said flat sheet.
Screen panel fixing system and methods
A screening apparatus 10, including a plurality of elongate beams 11, a plurality of screen panels 14 mounted to the beams to form a broad screening surface, each of the panels 14 being generally square or rectangular and the panels 14 being mounted adjacent to each other so that facing side edges of adjacent panels 14 are in close facing relationship. Each panel 14 being mounted to a pair of beams 11 along opposite side edges to bridge between two adjacent beams11. The panels 14 being mounted to the beams 11 by elongate fixing members 13 that extend in the longitudinal direction of the beams 11 and that are fixed to an edge of the beams 11 and that engage opposite side edges of the panels 14. The fixing members 13 are fixed to the edges of the beams 11 by projections 24, 25 that are spaced apart longitudinally of the fixing members 13 and that extend into openings 18, 19 provided in the edge of the beams 11. The projections 24, 25 being releasably connected to the openings 18, 19 in the beams 11 and extending out of the openings 18, 19 and into releasable connection with the fixing members 13.
Modular enclosure system
A modular enclosure system includes a plurality of anchor rails configured to be mounted to a surface such as a wall to which the modular enclosure system is to be attached. The modular enclosure system includes a first partition having a plurality of partition segments and a second partition having a plurality of partition segments. The first partition and the second partition are each coupled to a first rail and a second rail of the plurality of anchor rails.
Mechanical connection for panels
A mechanical connection connects panels edge sides to one another. Adjacent first and second panels can be locked in the horizontal and vertical direction by a substantially perpendicular joining movement. For vertical locking, a locking edge is arranged on the first panel and a locking element that can be displaced relative to the panels is arranged on the second panel. The locking element can be displaced behind the locking edge by a pivoting movement. A locking projection for displacing behind the locking edge and an arcuate guide arm guided in a guide groove of the second panel are designed to be partially withdrawn from the guide groove with a rotary or pivoting movement of the locking element by a leg. The leg projects from the guide groove of the locking element coming into contact with the first panel when being set down in a region below the locking edge.
MORPHABLE SHEET STRUCTURE
The proposed morphable sheet structure comprises a succession of adjacent flexible elongated rods (10) laterally connected to each other defining a sheet structure (1), each rod (10) defining a longitudinal axis (A); wherein the rods (10) are grouped in pairs, each pair of adjacent rods (10) are connected to each other through a first connector (11) tightly connected to a second connector (12) complementary with the first connector (11), being the first connector (11) part of one rod (10) of said pair of adjacent rods (10) and being the second connector (12) part of the other rod (10) of said pair of adjacent rods (10); being the first connector (11) and the second connector (12) slidably movable to each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis (A); the first connector (11) and/or the second connector (12) extending along the entire longitude of the rod (10).
