RIVET SLEEVE AND BLIND RIVET WITH A RIVET SLEEVE
A rivet sleeve of a blind rivet for connecting at least one die-head-side component to a closing-head-side component, the rivet sleeve having a sleeve shank including a sleeve shank end. An elastic sleeve die head is arranged at an end of the sleeve shank opposite the sleeve shank end for ensuring a minimum clamping force between at least the die-head-side component and the closing-head-side component in a closed state of the blind rivet, the sleeve die head. The sleeve die head extend around the sleeve shank radially around the extension axis of the sleeve shank. At least two recesses spaced a distance apart in the lateral surface of the sleeve die head.
Joint structure
A joint structure comprises a first panel and a second panel joined together by mechanical clinching. The joint structure includes a join region that is formed so as to extend in an elongated shape by forming plural clinched portions in a given arrangement by mechanical clinching. At least one clinched portion of the plural clinched portions is clinched from an opposite panel side from other clinched portions of the plurality of clinched portions.
CIRCUIT ELEMENT CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND CIRCUIT ELEMENT CONNECTION STRUCTURE UNIT
A circuit element connection structure includes: a plate-shaped base made of an insulating material and having an opening through the entire base in a thickness direction thereof; a circuit element made of an electrically conductive material and disposed on a first side of the base in the thickness direction thereof; and a connector made of an electrically conductive material and disposed on a second side of the base in the thickness direction thereof, the circuit element and the connector being in contact with each other at the opening as viewed in the thickness direction of the base.
Drive assembly including turbine shell fixed to a damper assembly by a rectangular rivet
A drive assembly for a torque converter is provided. The drive assembly includes a turbine shell and a damper assembly fixed to the turbine shell by at least one rectangular rivet. A method of forming a drive assembly for a torque converter is also provided. The method includes fixing a turbine shell and a damper assembly together by a plurality of rectangular rivets.
METAL JOINT BODY AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE METAL JOINT BODY
A miniaturized metal joint body and an apparatus for manufacturing the metal joint body to be improved about strength are provided. By cutting three overlapped metal sheets along a first cutting line and a pair of second cutting lines extending so as to intersect the first cutting line at each end of the first cutting line and pressing areas surrounded with the first cutting line and the pair of second cutting lines and each of a pair of bending lines connecting both ends of the pair of second cutting lines, each of the pairs of projecting members is formed so as to project in a pressing direction of arrow z.
Joining structure
An occurrence of thermal distortion when heterogenous materials are joined together is suppressed. Provided is a joining structure that includes a first member, a second member, a rivet and a resin-filled portion. The first member is formed of a first material. The second member is formed of a second material that is different from the first material. The rivet penetrates through at least the first member and joins the first member and second member together. The resin-filled portion is provided around the rivet at a side of the first member at which the second member is disposed. The resin-filled portion is formed by at least one of the first member and the second member and forms a gap between the first member and the second member. A resin member is disposed inside the resin-filled portion.
RIVETING APPARATUS FOR THIN HEAT SINK FIN AND THIN COVER PLATE
A riveting structure for a thin heat sink fin and a thin cover plate is disclosed. The riveting structure includes a plurality of thin heat sink fins and a thin cover plate. The top of each thin heat sink fin is provided with a raised portion, the thin cover plate is formed with a plurality of cover plate riveting holes, and the raised portion is pressed and deformed by a rolling device in a rolling manner to fill the space of a corresponding one of the cover plate riveting holes, thereby fixing the raised portion. It is suitable for a “thin” design, improves the assembly efficiency greatly, reduces the labor cost, and reduces the product defect rate effectively.
TWO-PIECE BLIND FASTENER AND INSTALLATION TOOL
A blind fastener for connecting workpieces includes a bolt and nut. The bolt includes a shaft, bolt head, and lug. The bolt head is between the shaft and lug and extends radially outward from the shaft. The shaft defines external threads opposite the bolt head. The lug includes a first tool engagement portion and a first frangible portion that frangibly couples the lug to the bolt head. The nut includes a sleeve, nut head, and handling member. The shaft is threadably received in the sleeve. The nut head extends radially outward from the sleeve and defines a recess that receives the bolt head. The handling member surrounds at least a portion of the lug. The handling member includes a second frangible portion and a second tool engagement portion. The second frangible portion frangibly couples the second tool engagement portion to the nut head.
Rivet structure
A rivet structure includes a female rivet plate and a male rivet plate. The female rivet plate defines an elongated countersunk hole. A size of the countersunk hole increases from a first side of the female rivet plate to a second side of the female rivet plate. The male rivet plate includes a rivet including a shaft portion and two head portions. The shaft portion extends from the male rivet plate. The two head portions are respectively arranged on opposite sides of the shaft portion on a side of the shaft portion facing away from the male rivet plate. The two head portions extend through the countersunk hole from the first side of the female rivet plate to the second side of the female rivet plate. The two head portions are configured to be stamped by a stamping member to fill in the countersunk hole.
FLUID TIGHT BLIND FASTENERS AND METHODS FOR FASTENING
Fluid tight blind fasteners and methods tor fastening are provided. The sleeve comprises a first sleeve end comprising a first inner surface, a second sleeve end comprising a second inner surface, and an elongate portion extending from the first sleeve end to the second sleeve end. The first inner surface and the second inner surface define a sleeve cavity extending into the sleeve from the first sleeve end toward or to the second sleeve end. The pin is configured to be at least partially received by the sleeve cavity. The pin comprises a first pin end portion configured to receive a torque, a second pin end, and a shank extending from the first pin end portion to the second pin end. Tire shank comprises threads and the threads are configured to form threads on the second inner surface of the sleeve.
