VEHICULAR EXTERIOR ACTUATOR WITH RATCHET MECHANISM
20230027125 · 2023-01-26 ·

A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base, a handle movable relative to the base between recessed and deployed positions, an actuator that is operable to move the handle between the positions, and a connection mechanism that pivots relative to the base to move the handle between the positions. The actuator operates to pull and release a cable to pivot the connection mechanism to move the handle. The connection mechanism, when the actuator is operated to pull the cable, pivots in a first direction to move the handle from the recessed toward the deployed position. A biasing element of the connection mechanism biases the connection mechanism in a second direction to move the handle toward the recessed position when the actuator releases the cable. Responsive to cable tension being reduced by a threshold amount, the connection mechanism adjusts to increase tension.

Actuator with buckling member stability

A device includes a frame including a first end and a second end; a mechanism including a first side that faces the first end of the frame, and a second side that faces the second end of the frame; a first buckling member attached to the first side of the mechanism and the first end of the frame; a second buckling member attached to the second side of the mechanism and the second end of the frame; and at least one actuator that engages the mechanism, the first buckling member, and the second buckling member in a selective sequence causing the mechanism to articulate between the first end and the second end of the frame. Engagement of the first buckling member and the second buckling member by the at least one actuator causes the first buckling member and the second buckling member to buckle and unbuckle in the selective sequence.

INSERTION INSTRUMENT

An insertion instrument comprises an insertion portion including a bending portion provided at a distal end side of the insertion portion, a first wire provided in the insertion portion, and an operation portion provided at a proximal end side of the insertion portion. The operation portion includes a bending operation unit. The bending operation unit includes a lever having a central shaft defining a central axis, a rotor coupled to the lever, a wire attachment surface to which the first wire is attached. An inner surface of the operation portion includes a receiver body and a restriction body. The receiver body supports the rotor for rotation about the central axis and for movement of the lever from a neutral position to an inclined position, where, in the inclined position, the central shaft is inclined relative to the central shaft in the neutral position. Movement of the lever from the neutral position to the inclined position pulls the first wire to bend the bending portion. The restriction surface restricts a portion of the rotation of the rotor about the central axis.

Apparatus for sequential retraction of locking pins by a single pull handle

A cable release comprises a control handle, at least one retractable latch pin, and cables connected from the handle to the latch pins. The handle assembly includes a cup with a non-round orifice at one end. A rod within the cup passes through the handle allowing it to spin, so twisting the handle does not cross up its attached control lines. The latch pin assembly includes another cup and a set screw so that a stop tube may be inserted adjustably to establish a gap length between the stop tube and the retractable latch pin in the cup. A spring between the stop tube and a flange of the pin extends the pin when not pulled into a retracted position by the handle. Varying pin lengths and stop tube gaps allows a single pull of the handle to effect simultaneous or sequential releases of articles retained by the pins.

LINKING MECHANISM

A mechanism for use with multiple latches that are to be released by a single handle and by a single pull. A method for actuating multiple latches with a single handle and by a single pull. A release mechanism for use with multiple latches that are to be released by a single handle and by a single pull, including: a first member slidably received within a housing; a second member rotatably secured to the first member for movement about an axis within the housing and with respect to the first member; a first cable secured to the first member and slidably received within the housing; a second cable secured to the second member and slidably received within the housing; and a third cable secured to the second member and slidably received within the housing, wherein the second cable is shorter than the first cable.

Cable driven sliding center console

Center console provided with a fixed rail, extending in a longitudinal direction, a translatable member, a gearbox assembly and first and second cables. The translatable member may be coupled to the fixed rail and configured to move between a first position and a second position. The gearbox assembly may include a cable drum configured to rotate in a first rotational direction and a second rotational direction. The first and second cables may each be coupled to the translatable member and a cable drum. As the cable drum rotates in the first rotational direction, the first cable may translate the translatable member towards the first position. As the cable drum rotates in the second rotational direction, the second cable may translate the translatable member towards the second position.

Actuation cable device
