RAILWAY VEHICLE AND JOINT CONNECTOR THEREOF
20180009452 · 2018-01-11 ·

A joint connector of a railway vehicle comprises a concave joint (22) and a convex joint (21). A traction load transfer section and/or a compression load transfer section are provided between the concave joint and the convex joint. The traction load transfer section and the compression load transfer section are detachable assembled in the concave joint. The service life of the concave joint is prolonged due to the arrangement of the traction load transfer section and the compression load transfer section.

Anti pull-out collar for a ball joint

A ball joint includes an outer race having an exterior surface extending from an outer axial end to an inner axial end thereof and having an interior that has an opening proximate the outer axial end. The ball joint includes a ball with a stem extending therefrom. The ball is disposed in the interior area with the stem extending out of the opening. The ball joint has an anti pull-out collar disposed around the outer race and located entirely beyond a center point of the ball towards the outer axial end of the outer race. The anti pull-out collar has a radial thickness configured to prevent radial expansion of the outer race.

BALL HEAD
20230003251 · 2023-01-05 ·

A ball head includes: a main body provided with ball body and fastener accommodating portions adjacent to each other in an up-and-down direction; a ball body provided with a threaded rod extending outward therefrom; and a fastener. The ball body and fastener accommodating portions are respectively formed with openings respectively extending upward and downward and having diameters respectively smaller than the diameters thereof, and communicated with an external space through a notch of the main body, wherein a fixing assembly is disposed at the notch. The notch can be expanded, such that the fastener and the ball body are respectively placed into the fastener and ball body accommodating portions. The notch can be further contracted by locking the fixing assembly tight and thus the ball body is non-rotatable, while the notch can also be expanded by loosening the fixing assembly and thus the ball body is rotatable.

Socket assembly and method of making a socket assembly

The assembly includes a housing that has an inner bore and a ball stud that has a ball portion with opposing first and second hemispheres. A bearing assembly is disposed in the inner bore of the housing and presents a curved first bearing surface that is in slidable contact with only the first hemisphere of the ball portion. The ball socket assembly also includes a curved second bearing surface that is presented on a different component from the bearing assembly and is in slidable contact with the second hemisphere of the ball portion. The bearing assembly has a plastic portion and a plurality of metal segments. The metal segments collectively define the first bearing surface and are fixedly attached with the plastic portion. The plastic portion allows the metal segments to individually move relative to one another to seat against the ball portion of the ball stud.

PRESSURE SUPPLY UNIT FOR A BRAKE SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE

A pressure supply unit for a brake system including a booster body that defines an axially extending cylinder. A piston is slideable within the cylinder. The piston defines a bore that receives a spindle. The spindle is rotationally fixed and axially moveable for providing the axial movement of the piston. A motor is positioned about the spindle and is configured to axially translate the spindle and piston. A ball and socket joint connects the piston and spindle while accommodating pivoting movement of the spindle. The ball and socket joint includes a ball at a front end of the spindle and a socket in the bore of the piston which receives the ball.

BEARING ASSEMBLY

A bearing assembly includes a housing, a spherical bearing located within the housing, and two outer races positioned between the spherical bearing and the housing. The outer races are configured in sliding engagement with the spherical bearing to allow the spherical bearing to rotate relative to the housing. The assembly also includes a tightening element configured to engage a first of the two outer races and tighten the outer races against the spherical bearing. The assembly is configured to provide a primary load path from the tightening element to the housing, wherein the primary load path leads from the tightening element to the housing via the outer races whilst bypassing the spherical bearing.

REARVIEW ASSEMBLY MOUNT
20230057385 · 2023-02-23 · ·

This disclosure is directed to a mount assembly for a rearview assembly, which may comprise a member, a pivot, a cup, and/or a spring. The member may have a cavity with a tapered opening. The pivot may comprise a ball and be configured to support the rearview assembly. The cup may have an end portion, a wall portion, and a cavity. The cavity may be defined, at least in part, by the end and wall portions. Further, the cup may be disposed within the member and the ball portion may be disposed, at least in part, within the cavity of the cup. The spring may be disposed within the member and exert a force on the end portion of the cup. The force exerted onto the cup may be operable to jam the wall portion into the taper, causing the cup's wall portion to deflect and grip the ball portion.
