METHOD FOR EXTENDING THE CAMPAIGN LIFE OF STABILIZERS FOR A COATING LINE

A steel processing line includes a dip tub and a stab roll. The dip tub is filled with a quantity of molten metal. At least a portion of the stab roll is submerged in the quantity of molten metal. The stab roll includes two journals. Each journal is received by an opening defined by a roller sleeve including a ceramic or refractory material. The roller sleeve is disposed between each journal and a bearing block. An inner dimension of each roller sleeve and an outer dimension of each respective journal defines a clearance. The inner dimension of each roller sleeve and the outer dimension of each respective journal is configured such that the clearance persists as the stab roll and the pair of roller sleeves are heated by the molten metal. Alternatively, inserts are fastened to an outer surface of each journal in lieu of the roller sleeves.

Roller shaft portion thermal insulation member for continuous annealing furnace and continuous annealing furnace

Provided is a roller shaft insulation member for reducing the heat which is conducted to the bearings by passing through the space between the roller insertion hole of a continuous annealing furnace and the roller, wherein the roller shaft insulation member of the continuous annealing furnace comprises an inorganic fiber blanket, which contacts or is near the outer circumferential surface of the roller and in which the content of 45 μm or larger shot is 3% or less. A continuous annealing furnace provided with said roller shaft insulation member is also provided.

A bearing assembly includes a bearing flange and a flange receptacle having a longitudinal axis, which comprise a mutual axial stop and a fixing for securing the mutual stop position. The fixing is designed as a wedge-type clamp which can be actuated transversely, in particular radially, to the longitudinal axis. The wedge-type clamp clamps the bearing flange and the flange receptacle axially into the mutual stop position. The bearing assembly may be, for example, provided for a robot and its rotary body.
