A conveyor belt transport system involves a driving shaft, a driven shaft, a pair of rollers, and a conveyor belt. The rollers each include a shaft hole running from one end to the other end and each end of the shaft hole is fitted with radial spherical plain bearings. The respective radial spherical bearings ride on the drive shaft and the driven shaft. The conveyor belt wraps around the rollers that, respectively, surround the driving shaft and the driven shaft. The two ends of both the driving shaft and the driven shaft each include belt wheels and the outer end of the belt wheels each include a guard board. The conveyor belt comprises a timing belt on an inner surface of each outside edge of the conveyor belt, and the inner surface of the timing belt includes concave teeth that matingly engage the belt wheels.

A roll for continuous casting comprises a cylindrical roll rotatably mounted on a fixed axle and having a cooling chamber that surrounds the axle for receiving a flow of coolant. The axle is mounted on a roll support system. The roll support system comprises a first roll support connected to a coolant supply system and a second roll support connected to a coolant drain system. The axle comprises a first inlet connected to the first roll support, a first outlet connected to the coolant chamber, a second inlet connected to the coolant chamber, and a second outlet connected to the second roll support. A coolant flow circuit has a flow path from the coolant supply system to the coolant drain system through the first roll support, the first inlet, the first outlet, the coolant chamber, the second inlet, the second outlet, and the second roll support.

The device is characterized in that one of the supporting arms (1, 2, 34, 37, 54, 57) is mounted on the carrier device by means of a floating bearing (5), wherein the floating bearing (5) allows the mounted supporting arm on the carrier device to move parallel to the longitudinal direction of the deflection roller (3, 38), and in that an elastic counter element (12), which acts parallel to the longitudinal direction of the deflection roller (3, 38) upon the supporting arm (1, 2, 34, 37, 54, 57) mounted on the floating bearing (5), is present and counteracts an increasing distance between the supporting arms (1, 2, 34, 37, 54, 57). In this way, the technical problems of offsetting a temperature-induced length change of the deflection roller and avoiding an uncontrolled movement of the system are solved.
