A journal bearing comprising a first component and a second component, the first and second components being arranged to rotate relative to one another in normal use. The first component comprises a first body, a first layer forming a functional surface facing the second component, and a first subsurface layer between the body and the layer. The first subsurface layer is formed of a material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion in the radial direction, and the first body is formed of a material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion in the radial direction. The first coefficient of thermal expansion is lower than the second coefficient of thermal expansion.

A mirror device includes: a mirror having a rotation shaft and a reflecting surface that reflects display light; a support portion having a cylindrical shape, having a base end fixed and a tip end being a free end, and configured to rotatably support the rotation shaft; and a motor that pivots the mirror, in which the rotation shaft is inserted into the support portion while spreading the support portion outward in a radial direction, and is slidably supported by the support portion.

SHAFT SUPPORT FOR SUPPORTING AN AGITATOR SHAFT AND AN AGITATOR
20230009788 · 2023-01-12 · ·

The disclosure relates to a shaft support for supporting a lower portion of a rotatable shaft of an agitator configured to be installed in a tank, the shaft support comprising a support ring with an inwardly facing bearing surface configured to form a slide bearing journaling a lower portion of the rotatable shaft, wherein the bearing surface has a non-circular shape in a plane having a normal parallel to the shaft axis.

Hydrodynamic bearing structure

A hydrodynamic bearing structure is provided. The hydrodynamic bearing structure includes a bearing body, a shaft hole, at least one oil guide groove assembly, at least one air escape unit, and a recess. The shaft hole is formed in the bearing body and penetrates through the bearing body to two ends of the bearing body. The oil guide groove assembly is formed on an inner wall of the shaft hole. The air escape unit is disposed on an outer wall of the bearing body, and has a groove or a tangent plane. The recess is formed at one of the two ends (e.g., a bottom end or a top end) of the bearing body. The recess is spatially communicated with the air escape unit so that an exhaust passage is formed between an axis of the bearing structure and the air escape unit.

MECHANICAL SEAL

Provided is a mechanical seal that eliminates the need to provide an additional bearing, enables size reduction and cost reduction, and can provide stable performance as a bearing. A stationary-side seal ring 20 is disposed on the high-pressure fluid side of a rotating-side seal ring 21, and fixed to a housing 1 and has sliding surfaces 20a, 20c, and 20d supporting a rotating shaft 2 in both a radial direction and a thrust direction. The rotating-side seal ring 21 is axially movably fitted by an urging means 25 fitted on the rotating shaft 2. The rotating shaft 2 has an outer peripheral surface 2a a contacting and sliding on the radial sliding surface 20a of the stationary-side seal ring 20 to be supported radially. Thrust rings 10a and 10b are provided between the stationary-side seal ring 20 and the rotating shaft 2, for supporting the rotating shaft 2 in thrust directions.

DOUBLE-LAYER SLIDING BEARING

A double-layer sliding bearing comprises an inner layer and an outer layer. An inner periphery of the outer layer is integrated with an outer periphery of the inner layer through moulds for molding processes. A circular bearing surface is formed on either an inner periphery of the inner layer or an outer periphery of the outer layer. A layer having the bearing surface is arranged by a porous thin-wall layer with high forming density. The other layer not having the bearing surface is arranged by a porous thick-wall layer with low forming density.
